What has Martha so worried? Nicole decides its time to party. Is it time Geoff gave up on Melody?

Extended Summary

It’s grand opening night for both the Diner and the Den. Roman is forced to handle his side of things alone, as Irene is staying at the hospital with Oliver, and for her part, Leah is fretting. Unfortunately, her fears are well founded, and while the party rages on in the Diner, the few guests who show up at the Den are mysteriously leaving, group by group.

Still grounded after being caught out for lending Melody her phone, Nicole is caught by Roman on her way back from a swim. At his wits end, and not knowing what else to do, Roman extends Nicole’s grounding and bans her from attending the Diner’s grand opening party. But Nicole’s not one to roll over, and decides that if she’s going to be grounded, she might as well do something to deserve it. She’s throwing a party. When Aden gets home from work and discovers the party, he’s appalled, but Nicole assures him she has everything under control, Roman will never know. Then a flood of gatecrashers arrive.

With so much working against them, Geoff is beginning to wonder if it might be better for both he and Melody if they just gave up. Melody however, is having no such doubts, and decides to sneak out and go to Nicole’s party when Nicole tells her Geoff will be there. But Geoff isn’t interested. It’s too much of a risk for both of them. While Geoff wonders whether he’s made the right decision at the Den’s grand opening, Melody is left at the party waiting for him to arrive.

Something clearly has Martha worried, and when given a moment to herself, she pulls a pregnancy test from her bag, still in shock. It’s positive, and she’s freaking out. Though she does her best to act natural, the party at the Diner is a bit too much, and Rachel finds her outside, staring out to sea. Martha confesses why she’s so worried; the baby could be Roman’s.
