Extended Summary
Geoff is over the moon after his kiss with Melody, and looking forward to playing football with her there to watch. Irene isn’t quite so excited about the effect Nicole is having on Annie, or Geoff’s refusal to believe it’s all an attempt to get to him. When Nicole arrives to go to church with them, Geoff sees yet another facet of Nicole he likes, and she’s soon invited herself along to watch him play football as well.
When Melody hears from Belle that Nicole went to church with Geoff, she’s not worried. But when she finds herself preparing to go to the game with Annie and Nicole, she inadvertently gives Nicole some more ammo for her quest when she admits her first kiss with Geoff was a bit awkward. Nicole oh so kindly offers Geoff some kissing lessons, but will he fall for the act?
After a disastrous night, it seems that Morag has lost her chance with Ross, on top of shutting Martha from her life and deeply hurting Colleen. The only member of her family she hasn’t pushed away, Alf, does his best to sort things out. She might think Jack and Martha are a train wreck waiting to happen, but the way she’s been treating people, she’s had plenty of crashes herself lately, and she’s heading for more. Ever prideful, Morag’s not ready to admit she’s wrong, but it seems her brother might have given her some food for thought.
With the decision Viv is set to make looming over him, Ric is having trouble sleeping, and the fact that she’s not answering his calls isn’t helping. Frustrated and stressed, he decides to pay her a visit, taking little heed of Matilda’s warning that Noel won’t be happy to see him. But when he phones, Viv doesn’t answer and he assumes she must have gone ahead with the termination, surprised by how upset he is at the prospect of losing the child. Until he receives a message from Noel. He and Matilda can hardly believe what they’re hearing when Noel gives them a simple ultimatum; the baby’s life is in Ric’s hands, if he fights, Viv can do what she wants, if he refuses, well, Noel has a lot of influence over his wife.
