Amanda and Drew break from their kiss. Amanda is in disbelief that things are moving so quickly between her and Drew and insists they must keep their affair a secret from everyone. At that moment, Alf walks through the door and Amanda and Drew spring apart, looking every bit guilty. Amanda quickly begins to tell Drew off for breaking up with Belle and Drew twigs he must play along with the act. Alf becomes uncomfortable that he’s interrupted their conversation and makes a beeline for the door. Once he’s out of sight, Drew and Amanda breathe a sigh of relief – that was way too close! Amanda returns home to a very distraught Belle. Belle’s breaks down in tears and the guilt is eating Amanda up inside. As Belle begins to calm down, she comments on how much she pities the next poor person who gets stuck with Drew. All the while, Amanda is struggling to hide her expression – if only Belle knew!
Belle is out for a walk when she spots Drew heading towards her. She catches a glimpse of make-up on his shirt and demands to know what he’s been up to. Reluctantly, Drew admits he did not cheat on Belle but it’s true he is now seeing someone else. Belle is seething and rips into Drew for being such a gutless wonder. She storms home and fills Amanda in on her confrontation with Drew. Belle is adamant that she will kill this ‘other’ woman of Drew’s if she finds out who it is! Amanda can’t believe what she’s hearing and goes into damage control. Belle is grateful for Amanda’s advice and for the first time refers to her as “Mum”. But as Belle moves off, Amanda struggles to fight back tears and hates herself for what’s she doing. Amanda later arranges a secret meeting with Drew and as she pours her heart out, Drew moves over to comfort her. But as Amanda reiterates the importance of keeping their affair a secret, from a distance, the two of them are being closely watched by Frank and his offsider. Uh-oh – Drew’s abductors are back which can only mean trouble is right round the corner!
Robbie and Tasha are changing Ella after her afternoon nap. It’s a nice family moment but is broken by the arrival of Irene who has just been on the phone with Morag. Irene delivers the bad news that Robbie’s trial has been scheduled for only a week away! The young couple are reeling and Tasha isn’t ready to accept this may be their last week together as a family if the court find Robbie guilty. Irene watches on, her heart is breaking for poor Robbie and Tasha. Robbie moves out for some fresh air with Ella. As he holds her in his arms, he tells her how much he will love her – even if he’s not around to see her grow up. Robbie struggles to fight back the tears as he says his goodbyes to Ella in case things do not work out well. Forcing on a brave face for Tasha’s sake, Robbie returns home to discover Irene has packed the young couple a beautiful picnic and Alf is waiting to take them on a romantic trip on the Blaxland. Robbie and Tasha are moved by the thoughtful gesture and wrap Irene in a big hug.
Robbie and Tasha are enjoying every bit of the special treatment out on the deck of the Blaxland. As they chink their champagne glasses and gazes loving into each other’s eyes – it’s clear they are cherishing every moment they can. Back at the Beach House, Irene and Charity are doting on Ella. The phone rings and Irene finds herself in a predicament when one of her staff members at the Diner calls in sick. Charity offers to take care of Ella, much to Irene’s relief. Irene arrives at work and is instantly curious when the supposed staff member knows nothing about the phone call. Irene’s races home to find Robbie and Tasha have returned from their romantic day out. Irene becomes frantic as her heart sinks – Charity and Ella are nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, Charity is standing next to her car on the phone. She ends the call and turns to Ella who’s strapped into her car capsule in the back. Charity reassures Ella that’s time to go and meet Mumma Rose. Oh my God – Charity is abducting Baby Ella!!
