Extended Summary

Josh and Amanda make a dash out of the Surf Club after seeing Morag knocked out cold on the floor. Amanda isn’t so sure about this – shouldn’t they stop to see if Morag is okay? What if she’s dead?! Amanda’s concerns are halted at the sign of Alf approaching the Club – quick hide!

Alf finds his sister, out cold! He tends to her quickly as Josh calms Amanda down outside and demands she go home to Graham for dinner as planned. Josh tells Amanda if anyone questions her whereabouts to say she was with Graham all night. Amanda moves off leaving Josh with the disk in hand – his secret still safe. Moments later, Morag is loaded into the Ambulance as Jack and Martha arrive wondering what happened?! Alf has no idea, but seeing his sister like that has knocked him for six! Amanda arrives at Graham’s doorstep with a bottle of wine in hand. She steels herself and enters. She covers with a story for being away so long, Graham buys it.

At the Hospital, Morag starts to come around. As she does, she mutters ‘Amanda’ – Alf, Ric and Martha exchange looks… Soon she is completely alert and demands that she see Amanda Vale right away! Jack is onto it! He arrives at Graham and Amanda’s door – he fills them in on Morag’s accident at the Surf Club and asks Amanda to come with him to the hospital. Amanda is really having to use her acting skills now… She enters Morag’s room – what is this all about? Morag asks to know all about Project 56 or she’ll tell the cops all of her suspicions. Amanda denies any knowledge. Morag informs her that she will tell the police everything – Amanda swallows hard. Once Amanda has left, Morag voices her concerns to Jack, Martha and Alf – she wants Jack to investigate – what will Jack do? Back at home, Graham tries his hardest to calm Amanda down. She begs for Graham to provide her alibi for the night if he’s questioned. Soon after, Jack arrives at the door. ‘I was here all night, wasn’t I?’ – Graham hesitates, then repeats Amanda’s words. Satisfied, Jack heads off leaving a relieved Amanda and a dubious Graham. Later that night, Amanda is alone when Josh drops by to see if the cops spoke with her. They both got away with it this time… She expresses her hatred for everything that is going on before breaking down in tears as Josh holds her. He takes his caring a step further – and before she knows it, they are kissing!

Colleen comments to Leah about ‘how awful’ her separation from Dan is. Leah doesn’t want to talk about it. Colleen moves off as Peter walks in – an instant awkwardness between Peter and Leah following their recent ‘moment’. Peter wants to talk about it all – Leah is in denial – she explains that it was ‘nothing’ as Dan enters the Diner. Dan talks to Peter about how he needs to prove to Leah that their marriage can be saved. The more Dan says, the guiltier Peter feels as he steals a look at Leah over Dan’s shoulder… Peter has no where to stay while he is in the Bay – Dan offers for his brother to stay at his and Leah’s house, it makes perfect sense! Dan puts Leah on the spot, asking if it is okay for Peter to move in. Awkward, Leah is forced to agree. Dan thanks Leah as she shares a brief moment of loaded eye contact with Peter… Walking home after her shift at the Diner, Leah is deep in thought. Peter catches up with her and suggests they talk about what happened between them. Leah insists that it was just a ‘moment’ and that it won’t happen again – let’s just forget about it… As Peter heads off Leah’s face falls – what is going on here?!
