Scott and Hayley are at each others throats. Leah’s devastated by Ryan’s attempt to ruin her wedding.
Extended Summary
It’s the morning after and Kim and Hayley are mortified when they realise they’ve slept with each other! They both agree it was a mistake and it’s best if they keep it quiet. Scott is still torn over what Hayley told him about Lisa. He can’t ignore the gnawing feeling that she was right. Beth decides it’s time for a big talk. Once she hears the full story, she reminds him that if what Hayley says is true, he’s no different to Val, who stayed with Jack even though she knew he was married. Scott snaps that this is different.
Leah’s still having trouble with Ryan. He acts one way with her and like a total angel with everyone else. She suggests a day in the city alone with Dan to search for a ring – without Ryan (Peter will look after him). Dan thinks it’s a great idea but Ryan isn’t happy. He makes out that he’s sick and Dan immediately the trip – much to Leah’s disgust. But Ryan says he’ll soldier on. Leah’s suspicious – and so she should be because he tries it on again later, and this time Dan decides to call off the trip. Leah is disappointed and still not sure about Ryan’s motives. Finally she catches him out and he admits that he was lying. She’s furious. An argument ensues. Ryan says he hates her and will do anything to stop the wedding going ahead. Leah walks out, leaving Ryan alone in the room with her wedding dress…
At preparations for the fete, Scott and Hayley are teamed up on a job together – much to their disgust. As the preparations continue heartily around them, they disagree about everything. Finally Hayley blurts out that the reason Scott’s acting so tetchily is because he knows she’s right! Scott throws down his tools and walks out. Beth walks after him and says the reason he’s taking all this out on Hayley is because he still likes her. Scott denies it, but Beth says if he doesn’t act on his feelings he’s going to let someone he loves slip away. Scott has a huge choice to make. Scott and Hayley head to their respective homes to recuperate from the emotionally exhausting day. It becomes apparent very quickly that these two still love each other and should be together.
Leah lets Dan and Ryan head off to the Diner for lunch so she can try on the wedding dress. When they’re gone she finds that the back of the dress has been completely ripped from its seams! The last person alone with that dress…..Ryan!
