Hannah was seen at Viv Standish’s funeral, where she was the only mourner aside from Alf, Dani, Morag and Stafford. After the service, Alf approached her and after failing to recognise her, she told him she was Viv’s younger sister.

Alf told her about Viv’s dying revelation, that she had given birth to his son and had him adopted by a local couple, but Hannah knew nothing about it. However, she remembered some friends of their parents, a childless couple she knew as the “Marions” who used to babysit for them whilst staying in Summer Bay, and felt Viv would probably have given the child to them.
