After Hazem was bashed during the riot outside the Diner, he was sent to a hospital in the city. When Leah went to visit him, she met Nira, Hazem’s mother who had been keeping her up-to-date with her son’s condition. She wanted to discuss Hazem’s situation with Leah and even invited her and VJ to stay with her family for the duration of Hazem’s recovery as she thought her son and Leah were in a serious relationship. Nira also thanked John Palmer for saving her son as he was the one who helped Hazem out during the riot
