Extended Summary

Colby is finishing a surf and runs into Willow, who seems to be in a thoughtful mood. He asks after Jasmine and Willow says she’s doing better. Colby mentions that Robbo is planning to get them both out of the country and Willow is taken aback at yet another change. Sensing there’s more to it, Colby manages to convince her to get a coffee with him. At the hospital, Alex composes herself before entering Jasmine’s room but backs out when she finds Irene with her. Jasmine says she’s feeling better and asks Irene what’s happening with her court case. All Irene will say is that she and Bella are out of the woods. They wonder where Robbo’s got to.

Alf and Martha are at the caravan park house as Roo and Ryder arrive home, with Ryder greeting Martha. Alf tells them Martha is staying at the house; neither mind and Roo says she’s surprised he made her stay in a van last time, with Alf protesting that he didn’t make her. Ryder mentions studying and most are surprised Alf didn’t tell Martha he has his HSC coming up. The car that Alf bought him as an incentive is mentioned and Martha argues with Alf over how appropriate this is. Meanwhile, Colby and Willow are walking to the Diner. Willow admits that a friend kissed her and she didn’t see it coming. Colby asks who he was and Willow says someone from the gym. Colby guesses Mason and jokingly threatens to sort him out. Willow is exasperated and says she’s going to see Jasmine.

Alex is doing checks on Jasmine, with Irene still in the room. Jasmine asks if they can forget about her staying in for the night but Alex reminds her that, as a nurse, she knows that’s not possible. Irene has to go; both she and Jasmine are surprised Robbo hasn’t come back. Irene passes Mason as she leaves. He asks Alex about Jasmine but is actually there to discuss his internship; the hospital in WA has contacted him wanting confirmation. Alex admits she hasn’t sorted it but says she’ll talk to him after she’s done her rounds. Willow goes in to see Jasmine, after the guard has checked it’s okay. Willow says she’s glad Jasmine’s still there. Jasmine is somewhat bemused since she hadn’t heard Robbo’s plan. After commenting that everything’s changed today, Willow says that Alex kissed her. Jasmine says Willow’s never mentioned him and Willow says it’s not a him. Jasmine realises she means Dr Alex. Willow admits she didn’t hate it.

Ryder is doing a practise exam while Roo times him. Alf and Martha don’t quite seem to understand this, with Martha in particular not understanding why doing an exam isn’t cheating, and keep interrupting to offer help. They eventually decide to make a start on dinner but Alf wants Roo to go and get dessert. She gives up and leaves, giving the timer to Ryder. At the Diner, Irene updates her on Jasmine. Colby arrives and Irene asks him about Bella; Colby admits he hasn’t really seen much of her and also tells her that Teresa is in remand awaiting trial. Although he pretends not to be concerned when he hears Robbo never came back, he leaves him a message to contact him.

Willow attempts to dismiss the kiss as something that happens between fiends. Neither she nor Jasmine knew Alex was gay. Willow isn’t sure how she feels about it, saying she just freaked out. She still wants to be friends and isn’t entirely sure if that’s all; she says they get on well, although she says it’s the same with her and Jasmine. Jasmine quips that she doesn’t want to kiss her. She calls the talk the best distraction ever and jokingly offers to check the coast is clear before Willow leaves. In fact, Willow does run into Alex, who is telling Mason not to confirm the other internship until he hears from her. Alex asks to speak to Willow and they drop hints to Mason to leave.

Alf serves up dinner but Ryder takes his plate and heads for his room. Although Roo has given him permission, Alf is annoyed that they haven’t spent time together since Martha’s been there. Ryder stays but the situation is awkward. Back at the hospital, Alex, without really letting Willow speaks, says she thought there was a moment between them but she understands she got it wrong and hopes they’re still friends, hurrying away once Willow confirms they are. Willow heads for the lift but finds Mason waiting for her, asking what’s going on. Alex goes to see Jasmine and finds her preparing to discharge herself; she talks her out of it. Jasmine calls Colby, who confirms Robbo’s plan but can’t say where he is now.

Near the surf club, Willow has filled Mason in. Mason is amused by the situation but Willow reminds him she isn’t gay. They run into Colby, who asks them if they’ve seen Robbo and admits that he’s missing. At the hospital, Jasmine leaves Robbo an anxious message. Next morning, Alex meets Willow on the beach. Alex notes her gaydar was off and Willow confirms she isn’t gay. She does however says she doesn’t want to lose Alex as a friend, which Alex is in agreement with, if not exactly happy.

It’s breakfast time at the Stewart house, but Ryder has to get to a study session so just grabs something and heads out, while Roo is behind on work and so is using her laptop at the table. Alf gets annoyed about the lack of family time together and walks out. Martha finds him near the beach and Alf complains that they won’t know they can get on as a family if they don’t spend time together: He was hoping to ask Martha to move in permanently. Martha is amused that he decided all that without talking to anyone.

Alex arrives at the hospital to find Jasmine is again packing to go. Alex tries to talk her round but Jasmine insists that either Alex discharges her or she discharges herself. Alex points out she can’t do that without examining her. A short time later, Jasmine turns up outside the Diner with her police guard in tow. She meets up with Colby, telling him she discharged herself. Colby can’t give her any more news about Robbo. Jasmine says she needs to see him.
