10 Coronation Street Spoilers for Next Week – 24th to 28th August
Next week on Coronation Street, Sally and Tim struggle with Lucy, the truth about Celeste is revealed, Ollie finds himself under arrest, and Maggie has an overnight visitor.
1) What are Richie and Lucy hiding?
Tim (Joe Duttine) and Sally (Sally Dynevor) face a fresh struggle with Lucy (Anya Dewin) next week, as we begin to question the account she’s given of her mum’s death.

ITV
Lucy moved into No.4 after her dad, Tim’s cousin Richie (Nathan Sussex), was charged with killing his wife Rachel. Lucy insists that Richie acted in self-defence following years of abuse at Rachel’s hands.
Tim is haunted by having encouraged Richie to return home shortly before Rachel died to try and sort out his marriage issues.
His guilt intensified last week when Richie asked him to support his story, and pointed out that he would never have gone back without Tim’s intervention.

ITV
Tim refused to lie, leaving Richie fuming.

ITV
Although social worker Ruth agreed that Lucy could remain at No.4, the youngster remained volatile and desperate to see her dad.
The tensions continue next week when Sally and Tim hear screams outside. They find Lucy confronting Jodie (Olivia Frances-Brown) and accusing her of spying.
Lucy later asks Tim to take her to see her mum at the undertakers, but loses her nerve when they reach the door. With his remorse continuing to weigh heavily on him, Tim eventually tells Lucy why he feels partly responsible for Rachel’s death.

ITV
Sally reveals that she’s arranged counselling for Lucy. Although Lucy eventually agrees to attend, she uses the session to vent her hatred towards both Sally and Tim.
Back at No.4, Lucy throws a bowl of popcorn over Joanie (Savanna Pennington), brands everyone liars and storms upstairs. Once alone, she secretly takes a call from Richie—who tells her to stick to their story.
Could Lucy have been the one responsible for her mother’s death?

ITV
The following day, Sally admits that she doesn’t know how much longer she can cope with Lucy’s behaviour. When Ruth visits and gently questions Lucy about whether she’s happy in her foster home, her answer could decide whether she remains at No.4.
What will Lucy say?
2) Celeste’s secret link to Bernie is revealed
The reason behind Celeste’s (Frances Barber) mysterious arrival on the street becomes clear next week, when she comes face to face with someone from her past.

ITV
Last week, Celeste was spotted knocking at No.7, but after Glenda (Jodie Prenger) told her that Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) and Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) were away, Celeste left without explaining who it was she wanted to see.
She later approached Todd (Gareth Pierce) to arrange a funeral and revealed that the service was for herself, as she had only six weeks to live.
After Celeste stormed out of their latest meeting over Todd’s dismissive attitude, he’s surprised when she returns to the undertakers on Monday.

ITV
As he sees Celeste out, she finally spots Bernie across the street and rushes over, calling her name. However, Bernie gives her a frosty reception and refuses to engage with her.

ITV

ITV
Celeste then reveals to Todd that she’s the twin sister of Bernie’s mum. Stunned by the discovery, Todd heads to the café and tells Bernie that her aunt is dying, urging her to reconnect before it’s too late.
The following day, Todd advises Celeste to forget about Bernie and concentrate on enjoying the time she has left. When he mentions that he’s heading to Pride at the weekend, Celeste promptly announces that she’ll be joining him.
However, by the end of the week Celeste has taken a turn for the worse. Todd breaks the news to Bernie, but she remains seemingly unmoved.
Bernie finally opens up to Dev about the rift between her mum and Celeste—but what happened to leave her so determined to keep her aunt at arm’s length?
3) Ben and Ollie’s rivalry starts brewing
A little family rivalry breaks out next week when Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) and his dad Ben (Aaron McCusker) compete for the attention of a visiting influencer.
Ollie recently took a job as the chef at Speed Daal, a move that didn’t go down well with Ben, who co-runs the pub with Eva (Catherine Tyldesley).

ITV
When Ollie reveals that he’s arranged to meet Jude (Tom Aubrey), an influencer interested in reviewing the restaurant, Ben decides that the pub shouldn’t miss out on the opportunity for some publicity.

ITV
Determined to give his son some competition, Ben announces that the Rovers will be holding a craft beer event.
His plan appears to work when Jude calls in and samples the beers on offer—but will Ben’s intervention cause more trouble between father and son?

ITV
4) Brian gets lucky—but Maggie doesn’t
The following day, an unexpected visitor leaves the Driscolls stunned, when Maggie’s (Pauline McLynn) love life takes a surprising turn.
On Wednesday, Ben and Ollie are still exchanging words over the influencer, when movement on the staircase distracts them. Heading out into the hallway, they’re shocked by the sight of a dishevelled Brian (Peter Gunn) descending the stairs, followed moments later by Maggie!

ITV
The pair shared a friendly moment last week—when they found themselves reminiscing over their favourite retro treats—but no-one expected a conversation about Milky Moos and Spangles could pave the way to the two ending up in bed.

ITV
Brian is clearly smitten following their night together, and later asks Eva for advice on how to win Maggie over.
Eva then assures Maggie that she’s genuinely happy for her, both unaware that Brian is approaching with a bunch of flowers.
Unfortunately, Maggie gives a very different verdict on their night together whilst Brian’s in earshot, describing it as underwhelming and insisting that it won’t be repeated.

ITV
Realising that she’s put her foot in it, Maggie later visits Brian at the Kabin to apologise—but can she undo the damage?
The awkwardness continues on Thursday when Glenda finds Maggie lurking in the hallway. Maggie admits that she’s avoiding Brian, suggesting their surprise romance may be over before it’s even begun.
5) Sarah fears for Harry
Sarah (Tina O’Brien) is left terrified for son Harry (Joshua Leavy) next week, when inmate Kacey (Emma Matthews) proves that her threats extend beyond the prison walls.
Kacey initially protected Sarah inside, but turned against her after her own son was arrested for armed robbery.
She demanded that Sarah persuade her former boyfriend Kit (Jacob Roberts) to intervene, but the detective refused, pointing out that helping could cost him his job.

ITV
With Harry struggling during his mum’s absence, Adam (Sam Robertson) agreed to look after him.
When subsequently taking Harry to holiday club, Adam met a woman named Lottie (Emma-Grace Arends), who explained that her son Rhys would soon be starting at Bessie Street.

ITV

ITV
As the week begins, Sarah receives some reassurance when she calls Bethany (Lucy Fallon), who insists that Harry is doing fine.
However, her fears return when Kacey finds her in tears and casually asks whether she’s upset about Harry—revealing that she knows his name.

ITV
An even more frightening warning follows when Sarah discovers that Harry’s face has been scrubbed out on a photograph she keeps in her cell. As Kacey enters the cell, she happens to mention that some pool balls have disappeared from the recreation room.
Meanwhile, Bethany learns from Alya (Sair Khan) that Adam has taken Harry to a new friend’s house from the holiday club.
The significance of that soon becomes clear when Kacey approaches Sarah again to demand Kit’s help… and produces photographs of Harry at the friend’s home.

ITV

ITV
A distraught Sarah immediately phones Adam, who confirms that Harry is at Lottie’s place with Rhys. Sarah begs him to collect her son and keep him close, prompting Adam to confront Lottie about the photographs.
Is Lottie working with Kacey—and how much danger is Harry really in?
6) Kit’s bloodstained clothing raises questions
Back on the street, Bethany makes a disturbing discovery that raises questions about what Kit has been up to.

ITV
Whilst sorting through the washing, she notices blood on one of his T-shirts.
With Kit already under pressure over Sarah and Kacey’s threats, could he have taken matters into his own hands? Or is there something else going on?
7) Sarah prepares to strike back at Kacey
With Harry under threat, Sarah decides to take matters into her own hands.

ITV
Back in her cell, she stuffs the missing pool balls into a sock, creating a makeshift weapon. When she later hears voices outside, Sarah pulls it out and prepares herself for whatever comes next.
Meanwhile, Kit tells Bethany that he intends to threaten Kacey’s son, Brandon (John Elliott), in the hope of making them back off.
After spotting Brandon in the precinct, Kit gives chase, but Bernie quickly intervenes and tells Kit that it’s time he started looking out for himself.

ITV
At the prison, Sarah approaches Kacey’s cell clutching her weapon.
How far is she prepared to go to protect Harry?
8) Christina’s drunken stumble takes a surprise turn
Elsewhere on the cobbles, Christina (Amy Robbins) becomes the target of a cruel prank as worries about her relationship with George (Tony Maudsley) take their toll.

ITV
Last week, George cancelled their planned trip to Somerset together after Todd revealed that Christina had been on another spending spree, leaving her behind whilst he went to visit his cousins.
Having barely heard from George since, Christina confides in Glenda that she fears their relationship could be over.
Later, a tipsy Christina falls over in the ginnel, where Jake (Bobby Bradshaw) takes out his phone to film her before emptying his water bottle over her.

ITV

ITV
When Ollie comes across them, he gives chase as Jake runs. By the time Glenda and Christina catch up with them out on Rosamund Street, Ollie has Jake pinned to the ground.

ITV
Christina quickly explains that the bottle contained nothing more than water, leaving Ollie mortified as he releases Jake.
But as Jake’s dad Gary (Mikey North) arrives on the scene, has Ollie’s attempt to defend Christina landed him in serious trouble?

ITV
9) Ollie is arrested!
In the fallout, Jake is quick to cast himself as the innocent party.
He tells Gary and Maria (Samia Longchambon) that he was simply on his way to see Joseph (William Flanagan) when the incident occurred, prompting Gary to urge him to be honest when making his statement.

ITV
At the Rovers, Christina and Glenda reassure Ollie that he acted in good faith and was only trying to help. However, they’re interrupted when PC Jess Heywood (Donnaleigh Bailey) arrives, and promptly arrests Ollie on suspicion of assault!

ITV
Jess warns Ollie that he could be facing a custodial sentence, leaving his family deeply concerned about what might happen next.

ITV
Ben later tells Gary that Ollie could end up in prison, unaware that Jake is listening and feeling increasingly guilty.
Will Jake admit what really happened before Ollie pays the price?
10) Will George give Christina another chance?
At the end of the week, Christina anxiously prepares for George’s return, hoping their relationship can be salvaged following his trip to Somerset.
As she busies herself tidying the house, Todd arrives at the undertakers and is surprised to find George already there.
George soon takes Todd to task over his recent drinking, accusing him of trying to bury his problems with alcohol. However, Todd responds by revealing Christina’s drunken antics in the ginnel.

ITV
When George eventually returns home, he tells Christina that he’s had time to think whilst away.
Will he give their relationship another chance—or has Todd’s revelation sealed its fate?
