Coming up this week in Neighbours, Gary is faced with a moral dilemma – does he take Jeremy’s dirty money?
He’s resisted for weeks, but with Jeremy safely behind bars, and the deadline for Xanthe’s university payment just around the corner, it looks like his desire to help is daughter is going to get the better of him.
On Tuesday, Steph gives Gary a promotion and a pay rise, but it’s not enough. He still needs the cash to pay for Xanthe’s university course and finally decides to take some of Jeremy’s stash.
Will he live to regret his decision?
Meanwhile, Xanthe’s health still hasn’t returned to normal. She gets a stab of pain in her arm as she’s working at Harold’s.
Her pain meds aren’t in her bag where she left them.
However, rather than suspecting Aaron, who actually stole them, she begins to suspect David might have something to do with it.
Also this week, Jemima starts to realise the important role Susan plays in the life of Erinsborough’s residents, and makes an astonishing offer to support her and Karl financially for the rest of their lives.
However, Susan has major doubts – Jemima’s wealth hasn’t brought her happiness, so what’s to say it would help her and Karl?
Karl sides with Susan and turns down Jemima’s offer. Jemima is initially offended, but Karl talks some sense into her when he explains the reasons for their decision.
Bea and Ned continue to worry about Cassius’ erratic behaviour, and agree to keep an eye on him to protect Piper.
