Dan and Marni Ewing reveal miscarriage heartbreak

Dan Ewing and his wife Marni have revealed today that they have lost their first child, after Marni suffered a miscarriage 10 weeks into her pregnancy.

Marni revealed the news on Instagram early Friday morning (Australian time) in the form of an open letter to The Australian Daily Telegraph’ss Sydney Confidential.

‘sI yesterday learnt that I had lost my angel. We spent all day mourning our loss. I underwent tests, injections, surgeries. The baby I had wanted for so long had left us.”

Dan and Marni are currently in London as Dan (Heath Braxton) films a number of special episodes for Home and Away, which are due to air in May next year. Dan flew Marni to London to accompany her while he filmed the episodes, as the couple “feared being apart in case something happened.”

In a statement, Seven Network commented: “A loss such as this is devastating for everyone involved. Channel Seven will continue to support Dan and Marni through this difficult time.”

Marni’ss open letter was in response to a negative article published by the publication earlier today, in which journalist Marlia Lewis commented on the couple’ss “demands” while in London. Marni also took to Twitter to hit out at the publication:

Marni’ss full letter, published on Instagram and addressed to Maria and Sydney Confidential, reads:

Dear Maria and Sydney Confidential

We haven’st met, Although you would think we had, given your level of hatred towards me. I have, today, read your entire article dedicated purely to bullying and harassing me so I can only assume that this was warranted? See, I’sm not a celebrity. Nor do I claim to be a “model”. What I was, was a mother. Until yesterday. If I had ever wanted to preserve a day, just for myself and my husband, it was today. Now, all I will think about is you. I yesterday learned that I had lost my angel. We spent all day mourning our loss. I underwent tests, injections, surgeries. The baby I had wanted for so long, had left us.

Unfortunately, for us there were much more Important things to make up. How dare I receive a bike my husband organised for me? How dare I tweet thanks for things I’sm lucky enough to receive? I would give up every gift, every follower, every second of my life for one day with my baby. So we heard you were writing your unprovoked attack. We told your department what we had suffered yesterday. Today was not the day, Maria. But you decided to go ahead with it. You thought, “What the hell? Why should someone who gets free stuff sometimes mourn on a day like this?”. My husband flew me to London, yes. Because we were 10 weeks pregnant with our first child and we feared being apart in case something happened.

Something like a delayed miscarriage. Lucky, huh? So, thank you. Thank you for taking the one day in my entire life I wanted for US and making it about YOU. Thank you for advising everyone with your made up quotes from people who “conveniently” can’st be named about how wretched I am. Now whenever I get to think about our child, I get to think about you.

Sincerely, Marni.”

Everyone at Back to the Bay express their sincere condolences to Dan and Marni.
