Money troubles in New Zealand has brought about a change to the channel on which Home and Away is screened.

Following NZ broadcaster MediaWorks being placed into recievership last month, whose stable includes TV channels TV3 and TV4, fellow broadcaster TVNZ has snatched up the rights to the long running program.

It will now air on TV2, although a premiere date has yet to be confirmed, it will play episodes on weeknights and provide a chance to catch any episodes missed on the weekend. Home and Away will now join the TVNZ brand of soaps, including Neighbours, medical drama Shortland Street and UK soap Coronation Street.
