Stars donate childhood books for theatre charity

Three stars of Home and Away have donated their favourite childhood book to a charity eBay auction in aid of Australia’ss Monkey Baa Theatre Company.

Lynne McGranger (Irene Roberts), Ada Nicodemou (Leah Patterson-Baker), Steve Peacocke (Darryl Brax Braxton) and Georgie Parker (Roo Stewart) have all donated a copy of a meaningful children’ss book to the charity, and each is being auctioned off in a very special eBay charity auction next weekend.

The four Summer Bay actors join a whole host of big names in donating their favourite childhood books. They join Hugh Jackman (Les Misérables, The Prestige, X-Men), Geoffrey Rush (Pirates of the Caribbean), Gotye and Quentin Bryce (Governor-General of Australia), along with 20+ other celebrities in supporting Monkey Baa, which works work young people across Australia and aims to be one of Australia’s most inspiring and engaging young people’s theatre companies. The money raised will allow Monkey Baa to continue to develop new work for young people across Australia.

The auction runs from Sunday 2nd June to Friday 14th June (Australian time), with the winning bidder receiving a copy of their favourite childhood book, completed with a signed message. Even more celebrities are adding their books to the collection every day, so we’sll keep you up to date if more Home and Away stars get involved.
