Rhiannon Fish is joining a whole host of Aussie celebrities as they ‘slive below the line’s to raise funds and build awareness of worldwide poverty.

Along with more than 8000 Australians, Rhiannon, who plays April Scott on Home and Away, is living on just $2 a day all this week, highlighting the struggles faced by much of the world’ss population every day of their life. AUD$2 a day is the equivalent of the ‘sextreme poverty line’s, and is all millions of people around the world have to survive on.

Live Below The Line runs from 6th – 10th May, and aims to make a real difference to the lives of those living in extreme poverty. As of 7th May the campaign has raised almost $1,208,000, with Rhiannon’ss sponsorship currently totalling $1,375 one day into the challenge. Her sponsorship goal is $5,000.

Other Australian celebrities rethinking their eating habits this week include actor and comedian Stephen Curry, actress Mandy McElhinney, and a number of former contestants from the country’ss top reality TV shows – Big Brother, Celebrity Apprentice, MasterChef and My Kitchen Rules.

Of her challenge, Rhiannon said: “I am absolutely honoured to be a part of such a truly wonderful and relevant cause. In life, I think it is incredibly important to take the time to put things into perspective and never take anything for granted.”

“I believe that challenges such as Live Below The Line will help all of its participants, including myself, to have a greater understanding of what a day in the life of someone living in extreme poverty must be like. There is no reason for any human being to suffer in extreme poverty, especially when our generation can end it.”
