Lincoln Lewis scores Hollywood pilot role

Lincoln Lewis has landed a role in US TV pilot Venice, starring alongside The L World‘ss Jennifer Beals. The Herald Sun reports that Lewis, who played Geoff Campbell in Home and Away from 2007-2010, stars as Shealy Carver in the show, which it described as “a ‘Romeo & Juliet-esque’ style drama about the have-nots of California’s most seductive city, Venice”.

The pilot is due to air in May 2013 and centres on two rival families – the Nances and the Carvers – who battle for control of Venice. Lewis’ss character is angry with his brother Chris, whose six years in prison has jeopardised the family, and struggles to suppress his emotions when Chris is welcomed home with open arms.

The Herald Sun quotes Lincoln as saying: “It’s a brilliant character. He’s dark and he’s bitter, and there are a lot of layers.”

Venice isn’st Lincoln’ss first foray into Hollywood. He also stars alongside Will Smith in the sci-fi thriller After Earth, which is released in June.
