Writers’ Guild nominate H&A ep for award

A Home and Away episode has recieved a nominatation in the Television Serial category for the 2006 AWGIE Awards – the Australian Writers’s Guild’ss annual awards for excellence in screen, television, stage and radio writing.

Writer Sam Meikle has been nominated for Episode 4121, the episode in which Flynn finally loses his battle against cancer. Meikle was also nominated for an All Saints episode, Right to Life (Episode 316).

Also in the running for the award against Home and Away‘ss Episode 4121 are three Neighbours episodes.

The AWGIE Awards are judged solely by writers, and the judging is based on the written script – the writer’ss intention rather than the finished product.

The winners will be announced on August 25th in Sydney.
