I kind of cheated myself a little bit here by killing him 'off page', but I thought it worked for comedy effect And I also have no ill-feeling whatsoever for John (in fact, I like him a lot) but I've dispensed with him pretty quickly too. To be honest, I don't actually mind Phoebe as much these days. I used to hate her but more recently, with her relationship with Justin she's kind of grown on me. It was just the music festival that inspired this. Phoebe thinking she's some bigshot musician that can draw a crowd, and railroading Evie, was kinda funny.
