TabbyCool
Sixth Form is the final year in High School for UK students...... I think. Here, we just have "Sixth Year" . Sixth form is actually 2 years, it's when you do your A-levels. It's strange how they call it sixth form, because the years below it aren't called fifth form, fourth forrm etc. so it seems a bit odd! You go from year 7 through to year 11, then you're in Sixth Form, why don't they just call it year 12 and year 13? In my sixth form they called year 12 "Lower Sixth" and year 13 was "Upper Sixth", but it still seems silly.

It stopped being a sixth form and became a college, with the years being 12 and 13. I think the term sixth form has just stuck around since the days when secondary school started in year 1, rather than year 7.
TabbyCool
Yeah, it just seems strange that the second year of sixth form isn't called seventh form!
ste
i hardly ever study or do anythin at school Having just checked all 11 of your posts and finding not one capital letter or punctuation mark, I'd say that's pretty evident.
