We love Bonnie Sveen!

This week, only in New Idea Magazine, the gorgeousHome and Away star talks about having body confidence as a healthy size 10-12 woman in an industry that often expects unrealistic slimness.

'I've fluctuated with my weight like most women, but I've never been bigger than I was when I started#HomeAndAway, and that was a really powerful thing,' she says. 'The producers told me they cast me for me and they didn't want a size six.'

See the full interview and all of Bonnie's pictures in this week's magazine - in stores now, and available to download anywhere in the world via the New Idea Australia app.

It's quite scary to think, that she has been told to diet for a job before. I really do appreciate her talking about this, ladies especially in the entertainment industry need encouragement to be healthy, and not to give into the pressure of getting too skinny.

Even though she's skinny, It's no surprise to me that she was told to lose weight. It's just a part of the industry. Good for her for not listening to that. It's better to focus on being strong and healthy, not skinny

Thanks for the article. It's a shame that at a size 10-12 she was told to lose weight. There is nothing wrong with being that size! She's beautiful just as she is - and much better for not being a stick!

I think they do this with male actors too - only it's not seen as controversial. A lot of male actors going for these commercial jobs (where the show is completely image conscious) won't be looked at unless they have a six pack and decent muscle tone.
