Stephanie Posted September 8, 2009 Report Share Posted September 8, 2009 KATE Ritchie is set to marry NRL hunk Stuart Webb after he proposed to the star on a romantic European getaway. The St George Illawarra player - who is two years Ritchie's junior, proposed to the former Home & Away star yesterday. “We’ve told our families and we’re very excited and looking forward to celebrating with our families when we get home,” Ritchie said. The pair met through mutual friends and had known each other for quite a while before becoming an item about a year ago. Ritchie was initially in Europe as part of her radio show with Merrick and Rosso on Nova 969, but stayed overseas for the holiday with Webb. Ritche's rep said no wedding date had been set, but she most likely wouldn't get married till after her radio commitments finished next year. Rumours had earlier circulated about a possible proposal when she was asked about marriage plans. "Who knows, let's just say we are very happy now,'' she revealed back in July. "One day I'd like to move to the country and spend my days making jam and baking cakes," she said. Ritchie previously dated rugby league star Chris Walker and pro-skateboarder Corbin Harris.
