Actor Shia LaBeouf was at the Troubadour club watching the Lemon Son band on Santa Monica Blvd in L.A. Saturday night, a source tells Usmagazine.com.

"He was dancing around and acting really crazy," the source tells Us. "He kept doing shots of whiskey.

"He stayed until the band was done and then stumbled out of the club by himself," the witness reported.

LaBeouf's Transformers co-star Isabel Lucas, 23, was a passenger in his truck when the accident occurred, a second source tells Us.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old actor's mom told Us this afternoon when reached by a reporter: "He is doing really well... Thank you so much for asking."

Shia was arrested for drunk driving after a crash in Hollywood early Sunday morning. (Watch video of Shia's overturned car.)

He "showed outward signs of intoxication," Los Angeles County Sheriff's Sgt. Scott Wolf told Us.

"Officers at the scene determined that neither his passenger, nor the other driver, were seriously injured so the charge is misdemeanor DUI," Wolf explained.

Attorneys for Shia confirmed late Sunday that "an automobile accident involving an additional party occurred." The actor, his passenger and the other driver were treated for minor injuries at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in L.A.

"Shia is currently recovering from extensive hand surgery with plans to return to work on the set of Transformers 2 within one month," his lawyers said in the statement.

From news.com.au

Aussie actress Isabel Lucas was Shia LaBeouf's "mystery companion" in the Los Angeles car crash which saw LaBeouf charged with drunk driving and hospitalised, according to media reports.

Lucas, 23, was reportedly riding in the Indiana Jones star's utility when he allegedly ran a red light and collided with another car in the early hours of Sunday morning, LA time.

The former Home & Away babe, who is currently filming the sequel to Transformers with LaBeouf, suffered minor head injuries and was also admitted to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, New York Daily News reports.

LaBeouf, 22, suffered hand injuries when his car rolled onto its roof.

He was arrested for driving under the influence.

Lucas's LA agent Theresa Peters told ninemsn she hadn't spoken to her client — despite being inundated with calls surrounding the reports.

When asked whether Lucas was present in LaBeouf's car, Ms Peters said "not that I'm aware of".

"Everything out there is complete speculation and gossip," she said.

"She's at work today. She's back on the set of Transformers."

A Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department spokesman confirmed a female passenger was travelling in LaBeouf's car, but had not been seriously injured.

Sergeant Scott Wolf said he did not know the identities of the woman or the driver of the other car, the Associated Press reported.

But the real damage may have been done to Lucas' love life, with boyfriend Adrian Grenier reportedly fuming that she was partying the night away with her eligible new co-star.

The Entourage star yesterday refused to answer questions about Lucas' involvement in the accident.

The pair have been dating since February after bonding over environmental issues.

Lucas, originally from Melbourne, is a vocal greenie and passionate supporter of animal rights.

Last year, a Japanese warrant was issued for her arrest after she took part in surfboard protest against dolphin hunting in Japan with Heroes actress Hayden Panettiere.

How stupid of him to drive knowing he was over the limit.

And how stupid of her to get in the car with someone who was driving intoxicated.

They could have killed someone else. These stories really make me angry because my cousin died after being hit by a drunk driver. Clearly you are aware you are drunk, so get a taxi and don't put peoples lives in danger.

Grenier Saves Lucas From Car Crash Questions

30 July 2008 12:07 PM, PDT

Entourage star Adrian Grenier stepped in on Wednesday to help his girlfriend Isabel Lucas dodge a photographer's question about her involvement in Shia Labeouf's drunk driving accident at the weekend.

Lucas, Labeouf's Transformers 2 co-star, was a passenger in the actor's truck when it collided with another vehicle in Hollywood - leaving Labeouf with serious injuries to one hand and Lucas suffering a minor head injury.

The actress was walking in Los Angeles with Grenier when she was approached by a photographer investigating her involvement in the wreck.

But Grenier jumped in, shunning the snapper's inquiry as to Lucas' health, saying: "She's okay, we're good. This is not the time for an interview," before the actress politely added: "Thanks for supporting us."

Lucas' mother spoke out on Wednesday, refuting reports Labeouf was drunk at the time of his car accident, insisting her daughter would never get into a car with a drunk driver.

Labeouf was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI), although police subsequently announced that he was not at fault for the accident.

He is due in court next month to face a misdemeanour DUI charge.

From Access Hollywood:

Isabel Lucas: Shia LaBeouf Is ‘Healing Well’ After Crash

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Shia LaBeouf is doing well following his recent car accident and resulting hand surgery according to Isabel Lucas, his co-star in “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.”

"We’re both fine and Shia’s fine as well,” Lucas told Access Hollywood on the red carpet at Hayden Panettiere’s Whaleman Foundation Benefit at Beso in Hollywood on Sunday. “His hand is healing well.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, LaBeouf was involved in a collision with another vehicle in Hollywood on July 27, one that saw his green Ford truck flip. Lucas was the star’s passenger in the incident.

While both actors were transported to a local hospital following the crash, Lucas was released, while LaBeouf was forced to undergo early morning surgery to his left hand.

Last week, Star reported that LaBeouf might have to have his pinky amputated, a story that the star’s rep debunked to Access.

“That story is a complete fabrication. Absolute gossip,” LaBeouf’s rep said.
