I really don’t agree with the Best SL. Max and Stacy dragged on for far too long, yes I loved it to start with but after a year of the same thing it gets really boring. I really think McDean should of won that, or Hannah’s eating disorder. Both SL’s were well researched and the acting throughout was fantastic. Mind if I had my way, Oaks would of walked away with every award.

Well done Oaks!!

I can’t wait to see Corrie and EE’s faces on Wednesday when Oaks walks away with the most awards.

I am SO chuffed FOR

Hollyoaks

So amny people are complaining over Chris winning best actor, and it's really sad, because he is a brilliant actor. And I dont understand why everyone is so shocked. It was a PUBLIC vote after all. Thrilled for Emma Rigby, she's done amazing during the anorexia storyline.

Roxy winning sexiest female wasn't a surprise. lol. To be fair, she is a stunning girl. Can't say I was shocked.

YEY for Matt and Darren winning! I've been hoping they'd do it, especially now Darren has left and they wont get nominated for it again :(. So well done to them.

So both Gemma Bissix and Chris Fountain walked away with 2 awards really, which is amazing.

Love that Hollyoaks won the most. Almost everyone I know rooted for Hollyoaks to win some because it's normally looked down on, but they've really proved themself recently and I think all the awards were deserved.

I find it amusing that Gemma Bissix brought 2 awards for Hollyoaks, given that she's now with Eastenders. Bless her.

Can't wait to watch them. But unfortunately, Chris wasn't there to collect his award, because he was doing the DOI tour. Which I've heard people slating him for, but tbh, I dont think any of the Oaks cast expected to win best actor or actress awards! lol.

Personally i think

Eastenders

desreved the award for best soap. The turnaround has been fantastic and the show now seems to be going from strength to strength.

Hollyoaks

too has had a brilliant year, whereas the likes of

Corrie and Emmerdale

haven't had the most amazing year storyline wise.

I'm not sure about

Max and Stacey's affair

winning best storyline. The climax was brilliant but it dragged on too long and personally i don't rate

Lacey Turner

as an actress (sorry to anyone who does i just don't). Also

Roxanne McKee

is gorgeous i just hope we don't have another Jessie Wallace winning the same award each year, as what i like about these awards is sometimes the most surprising candidate wins.

Chris Fountain

best actor? For me not really but he's way better than the dreadful Antony Cotton winning last year. Can't wait to see

Emma Rigby

win best actress (the

anorexia

storyline should have won best storyline as well.)

Sorry about all the spoiler tags, didn't want to ruin it for anyone who didn't know the results yet.

Thats another thing about the soap awards i hate, they announce the results days before it is screened on tv :( IMO it just spoils the whole thing, they should broadcast it live as its happening and then it would be more enjoyable.

Before you read this, these are my own personal opinions. I did use emoticons to try and emphasise that, but I had to reduce it.

^plus, that makes it all the more fun. Usually, something unexpected will happen when it's live

My thoughts on the winnners:

These thoughts are from those of a Hollyoaks-only viewer.

Sexiest Male: TBH, I wasn't fussed who won this. I've never cared much for the sexiest categories. And none of the Oaks boys that were up for it make me swoon.

Sexiest Female: I can't say I was surprised by it. Again, the sexiest categories don't bother me. However, I did put Roxanne through as my vote :P

Villain: I wasn't at all surprised. I think most people expected it. Although I don't watch Corrie, I get the impression it was well deserved. Good on him.

Best Actor: Mwahahahaha!!! I do love Chris. He always has been my fave Oaks boy and will no doubt continue to be, so I'm naturally thrilled he won. And yes, I voted for him. Glad I had some use :D I do understand why some would think others may be more deserving, particularly those from other soaps, but I don't watch the others, so why would I vote for them? lol. All my votes went to Oaks, and Chris is, IMO, the best actor from the 3 that were put forward. Incredibly happy with that one. And, as Danifan said, anything is surely better than Antony Cotton last year!

Best Actress: I'm just so incredibly chuffed for Emma. That storyline must have been incredibly challenging to act out, and she pulled it off amazingly. A well deserved award.

Comedy: I havent watched Corrie in about 3 years, but if Blanche [That is who Maggie plays, right?] i half as funny as she was when I last watched, she deserved it.

Dramatic Performance: I cant really judge there. Wasnt it a panel decided vote? However, I did manage to catch the EE christmas episodes [Parts of them, anyway] and if Jo acts like that all the time, it's a well deserved award.

Spectacular Scene Of The Year: Again sticking by Oaks, it was between that and Justin been run over. Personall, I think the right decision was made. I loved that scene so much. I do actually remember holding my breath when the car went over.

Best Dramatic Performance From A Young Actor Or Actress: Shalln't judge. Don't watch EE. And I think the onlt one that gets put forward in that for Oaks is Ellis Hollins [Tom] who hasnt had many scenes. So I'll let other EE fans/other soap watchers debate that one.

Best Single Episode: From what I've heard from those that DO watch Emmerdale, that was an amazingly well acted episode. If that is the case. Then well done to them.

Best Exit: Clare's exit was classic, so I'm thrilled. It was either her exit or Craig's. I loved them both. So I'm just as happy.

Best Newcomer: For some reason, I was expecting that. The one put forward for Oaks was Newt. I'm not his BIGGEST fan. So I'm not all that bothered in that one.

Best On Screen Partnership: As I've already said: SQUEEEEEE. Sorry, but I am incredibly thrilled about it. Max and OB are one of the ultimate soap duos and I've always rooted for them to win that. It's so bittersweet though, now OB has left. But it rounds of the whole friendship perfectly.

Best Storyline: Good grief, that storyline went on AGES. lol. Again, I was expecting it. It wouldnt have been my first choice, but you can't have everything :P

Lifetime Acheivement: Who wasn't expecting that, really? Bless her.

Best Soap: If I had my way, Oaks would have got it :P But I know that will never happen. Or maybe in a few years. But it was worth EE winning just to see the bitter looks on some of the Corrie casts faces [You'll see when it airs. I think it's on YT. lol.] And we all know it was between EE and Corrie. When is it not? lol.

Kind of sad for Doctors. Although I don't watch it, I do think it's great when they win awards. Ahhh well, maybe next year.....

On another note: The DRESSES! Have to say Emma Rigby [Hannah, Oaks], Roxanne Pallett [Jo, Emmerdale], Victoria Hawkins [Plays that footballers wife in Emmerdale, whos name I dont know :P], Nathalie Emmanuel [sasha, Oaks], Clare Cooper [Jacqui, Oaks], Kara Tointon [Dawn, EE] and Tupele Dorgu [in Corrie. Is it Kelly she plays? Was also in Soapstar Superstar?] all looked absolutely stunning. There's probably a load more, but I havent seen any yet.

Gotta love seeing what the girls wear. lol.
