And she did have an abortion, but she told the family that she miscarried because Ted was against her having an abortion. That'll definitely be what she talks to her mum about I think. I had no idea Julie was pregnant. My mum was saying it all in night and I said "Oh please, as if she's pregnant!"... And I ate my words, lol. I didn't think it was cancer but I though it was some sort of condition that needs long term care, but isn't necessarily life threatening if managed. I'm glad it was a pregnancy though, I don't think some horror medical condition in the first season would be in keeping with the vein of the show (or how I percieve it, anyway).
