He's one to internalise things, and you definitely captured that. I really appreciated how you wrote it like a writer, the way I'd imagine Lucas would, had he scribbled angrily on a poor, unsuspecting piece of notebook paper. Right down to things I'd imagine Lucas saying, such as the analogies. I can really picture him just walking along, this mad as all hell expression across his face, kicking sand every now and then as though he's trying to be noticed. He's not emo, just a deep thinker and feeler. And he hurts, like everyone. And this was really well written, if I'm not being clear here . Seriously. You're a Lucas. This was such an exquisite piece that wonderfully showcased your amazing writing abilities. I would say "keep up the good work", but I think you will no matter what encouragement you receive. once again, an amazing job.
