Jumbo project

Herald-Sun

22 August 2006

MORE details have emerged about exactly what Isabel Lucas will be doing now she has left Home and Away.

First port of call is Namibia, where she will work on a project with locals to build a water supply unit for elephants, and to plant a market garden.

The project is part of an OzQuest expedition, and she will be helped by a group of young Aussies aged 18-30.

Well good for her, it is a breath of fresh air when actors/actresses do this work. Apposed to heading straight for stardom in Hollywood. I suppose she will head that way in future, but great to see her helping others.

I totally agree. It`s nice to see her wanna do something good for other people. (And elephants).

It is great to see Isabel is taking a different route to other people, and that she wants to travel and make a difference. As you guys have said, so many people just want to make it big, so it's nice to see Isabel is doing her 'own thing'.
