ReWritten Part 2

Present day

Cassie, Ric and Alf sit near Sally’s bed; all three are looking at her in silence.

“It’s been 7 hours, and she hasn’t changed.” Cassie said tearfully.

“What if she doesn’t wake up?” Ric asked.

Alf looked at Ric and Cassie before looking back at Sally. He smiled.

“Have you ever known Sally to give up?” he said. “She’s going to be fine”

Both Cassie and Ric grinned.

“Yeah, you’re right, Mr. Stewart.” Cassie said.

Leah walks in.

“Anything changed?” She asked.

“Nothing yet, love” Alf replied.

“OK… Dan and I are going of now, I’ll be back later. Leah says.

Leah walked to the doorway.

“Perhaps Ric and Cassie should come home and Rest?” She asked.

“No” Ric Said. “We want to stay here with Sally”

“Leah’s Right” Alf said, firmly. “Go home and rest. You can come back in the morning”

Ric and Cassie looked at each other, before walking out, leaving Alf in the room alone with Sally.

Alf holds Sally’s hand, and starts crying.

“Come back Sal, Come back”

August 20th 2005

“Sally what’s going on?” Flynn asked.

“Www-What’s going on here?” Sally said, breathing heavily. “Th-This can’t be real”

“Sally” Flynn Paused. “What is the matter with you?”

“You can’t be real” She started crying.

“Why can’t I be real?” Flynn asked.

“Because you died!” Sally cried out. “You died in this room. I saw it!”

“Sally, you must have had a bad dream!” Flynn said slowly.

Sally paced the room.

“No…I haven’t. This is the dream” She said.

“Honey… I don’t know what you’re thinking of, but as you can see, I’m not dead”

“I saw you die” sally cried out quietly. ”I saw you!”

“Sally, Please. You’re scaring me” Flynn said calmly.

“You’re not Flynn.” She said sharply.

“Sal—“Flynn began

“You’re not Flynn” She said again. “Flynn died on the 17th February 2006”

Flynn paused. “Sally it’s the 20th of August 2005”

Sally stopped.

“You’re a liar!”

Without another word, Sally ran to the door, and ran down the stairs.

Sally continued to run until she ran out of breath.

She dropped down to the ground, catching her breath.

“You’re not from around here?” a voice said.

Sally looked up. Standing in front of her was a woman with long frizzy hair and wearing a long brown coat.

“What did you say?” Sally asked.

“You’re not from around here, are you?” the woman asked again.

“I am, I’ve lived here since I was a child. That’s none of your business” Sally huffed.

“No..” The woman chuckled. “You misunderstood me”

The lady pulled out a white beaded chain and started to wrap it around her wrist.

“You’re not from this time… Are you?” she said, with a grin.

Sally stood up.

“What are you going on about?” Sally asked, clearly getting annoyed.

“Look at the date today, Mrs Saunders” She said calmly.

She handed Sally this morning paper from inside her coat.

Sally took the paper and looked at the date,

It read:

August 20th 2005

“I...Uh...This must be some kind of Joke!” Sally said.

“I assure you, Mrs Saunders, this is no Joke” The Lady said.

“I don’t even know you… I don’t believe you!” Sally said.

Sally turned and began to walk the other way.

“You know, Mrs Saunders, Not many people can actually perform time travel” She yelled out to Sally.

Sally paused and turned to face her.

“That’s right,” The lady said, nodding her head. ”Time Travel”

“Ok… let’s just say, I did travel back from the future.. Why am I here?” Sally asked

“I do not know that” The lady said, even more calmly.

“Many people often ask the question; “What would you do if you could change the past?” The Lady paused once more, before saying: “So Mrs Saunders; What would you change?”
