  1. Unless they all already live nearby and just move house?
  2. Naomi was only brought in as a friend/girlfriend for Sonia, so it makes sense she's going. To be honest I find her quite dull and self-righteous so I'm not that bothered. I do hate it when they underuse characters though (Gus could be so brilliant if he was ever actually in it!). Well, I guessed Kevin's secret, so either I'm a genius or it was really predictable. Why does everybody in soap always have to have a skeleton in the closet?
  3. I always feel like such an old woman, having been with my boyfriend for 4 and a half years. People look at me very strangely when I tell them! I hope things go well for you Ash, you deserve it.
  4. Not too bad thanks. It's really nice to hear from you after all this time! What have you been up to?
  5. I rented out Chronicles of Narnia and Harry Potter 4 over Christmas, and liked them both a lot. It tested my patience a bit though, as I hate long films, but it was worth it in the end. I also got Mary Poppins on dvd for my birthday.
  6. Ash! What a nice surprise!
  7. I didn't like Ruby's exit. Ok, so she was always a bit spoiled and naive but she was always likeable until recently.
  8. I didn't like Ruby's exit. Ok, so she was always a bit spoiled and naive but she was always likeable until recently.
  9. Is anybody going to be making any Christmas avs soon?
  10. Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of Carly or Deano, but I do like Kevin a lot and he probably wouldn't be as good without them. As for Patrick and Yolande, I wish their relationship had been kept light and fun. Before Patrick had the affair with Pat they had a lot more funny lines (they still do, just not as often). I don't know what it is about Sean that I've started to dislike...I think it might be because he seems quite one-dimensional. I like my villains to have a nice/vulnerable side, but at the moment he just seems out-and-out bad. There doesn't seem to be any explanation for this either. I also don't think that Ruby is so awful that going out with her would be such a chore. Ok, so she's a bit spoilt but she's also gorgeous, intelligent and fun, and I don't buy his whole putting-up-with-her-is-unbearable attitude. ETA: Has anyone seen Louisa on Strictly Come Dancing? She's fantastic! It would be brilliant if she won ahead of Emma Bunton.
  11. I thought I was going to like Sean...but I'm really not sure anymore. I want a villain that I love to hate, not just hate. On the subject of axing, I say keep Billy (loving him and Honey), Patrick and Yolande (they can be really funny), Stacey (she's really grown on me and is a great actress) and Peggy (an institution!). Personally I'd get rid of Bert, Pauline, and all the Millers (Keith seems to have disappeared anyway). There aren't that many characters I dislike, but they do need some stronger ones. I'd like to see a new Slater to replace the millions of them who seem to have left - as long as it's not the awful Belinda!
  12. It's true that the constant baby dilemmas are getting a bit depressing. If that doesn't put you off having children I don't know what will! Oh and yes, Stacey had the abortion.
  13. That's actually a pretty good line-up. I actually know who most of them are! I think Emma will do well. I know Eastenders has been criticised for the down's syndrome storyline, but I actually think it's been really good. The parents of the baby who plays Janet were on tv this morning and they said it's been done really well. Seeing as they went through it themselves I think they're the best ones to judge. I'm also really impressed with Honey (is her real name Emma?). Her acting has been much better than I expected. I always loved her character but wasn't sure she'd be able to pull off anything serious, but she's doing brilliantly.
  14. Sixth form is actually 2 years, it's when you do your A-levels. It's strange how they call it sixth form, because the years below it aren't called fifth form, fourth forrm etc. so it seems a bit odd! You go from year 7 through to year 11, then you're in Sixth Form, why don't they just call it year 12 and year 13? In my sixth form they called year 12 "Lower Sixth" and year 13 was "Upper Sixth", but it still seems silly. The sixth form I went to changed it's name a few years before I went there. It stopped being a sixth form and became a college, with the years being 12 and 13. I think the term sixth form has just stuck around since the days when secondary school started in year 1, rather than year 7.
  15. I agree. I can't see any explanation for them axing Louisa, particularly after she'd just won them a soap award! I was thrilled when she stayed on after Billy Murray left, but now it seems pointless if she's leaving so soon. The Cure, did you not see the scenes with Ruby and her dad? The ones to do with her mum and sister's murder, in particular, were fantastic. There's no way you can say she can't act!
  16. It did take me a long while to warm to Stacey, I must admit. At the beginning she was a pointless, gobby, Kat Slater clone. But since her friendship with Ruby (who is not wooden, whoever said that!) she's become much more likeable IMO. The stuff with her mum was absolutely brilliant.
  17. I love Billy and Honey! Honey is a fantastic character IMO. We're going to see a lot more of them next week so you might want to make other plans! I don't agree with you about Bradley and Stacey. Personally I like Stacey, so maybe I'd biased, but I think Bradley handled the situation quite badly. It was realistic of a guy that age to react that way, but I couldn't help feeling sorry for Stacey. If he'd have been more supportive I'm pretty sure she'd have kept the baby.
  18. They were, but they've just had officially the quickest abortion in history! It was a good episode acting-wise, but they circumstances were unrealistic (decide you want an abortion, ring the clinic, have it all done and dusted by the afternoon). Sean is very good looking but slightly sinister. Then again, so was Dennis to begin with. He just needs the love of a good woman...do you think I could get a part in Eastenders?
  19. Big storm here! Second one today. It's been raining for a couple of hours, but it's still hot. Should I really be on the computer with all this thunder and lightning? ...Probably not.
  20. Stand up for yourself Katya! You're 23, assert your rights!
  21. Lol, I feel your pain Tom! I'd like to put on my wise old woman hat and say that one day you'll look back on your school days as the best days of your life...but I know that, for me personally at least, that isn't true! Just look forward to when you don't have to go anymore.

    Emmerdale

Lol you'll all be happy soon, as she's leaving next week.
  23. If we're slow now, who knows what we'll be like when we're Golden Oldies!
  24. It's some big dark secret from Joe's past, but to be honest I'm finding it hard to care. Liam, as far as I'm aware Honey's 'secret' is just her pregnancy, as her dad doesn't know about it. Pretty crap I know. I do like Honey though, and she and Billy make quite a refreshing pair. I'm looking forward to the return of Ruby - do we know yet whether she's staying when Johnny goes?
  25. I don't mind her that much, but her hair was really annoying me yesterday. It looked like a wig! Not that I'm superficial or anything...
