Blah. Seems to me they're just trying to emulate Corrie's success with 'Evil David'. I'll reserve judgement on this one.

As soon as Ian said "No, it can't be!" That's exactly who I thought it was! He hasn't seen Stephen in years. Stephen left years ago because he didn't want to stay with Ian when he found out that he wasn't his real dad! But when the guy appeared at the door, didn't Ian say 'Tom'? I was watching with my mum and we both looked at each other and said 'Who's Tom?'
-
That sounds interesting, although I was never a fan of Clare. It would be good if Nigel returned, but that won't happen while the actor is on Holby City (in which he's fab, so I'd rather he stayed put!).

I think the Cindy thing depends on the outcome. It's obviously not her so it needs to be someone good to make up for that, otherwise what's the point? Loved the bit of continuity last night when Max answered his phone in the cafe and it was Carol (ie. his sister, Sonia's mum).

I like Preeti but she needs to toughen up. Her character is too one-dimensional. I'm really not liking the show that much at the moment - Phil's alcoholism has been done to death already, Chelsea, Deano and Sean are all horrible characters, and I can't bear Lucy at all. I literally want to switch over when she comes on screen, particularly in scenes with Ian as he's always annoying. The only things I like are Billy and Honey (more of them please!), the new Mitchell sisters and Dot (lol). The webcam stuff was hilarious.

I think Lauren seems fairly normal. In last night's ep, for example, she obviously knew that Lucy was being an idiot but at the same time didn't want to betray her mate. That's typical teenager behaviour. Unfortunately she's been very under-used so far, with the writers seeming to prefer Abby (who is a cracking actress, but because she's so realistic at portraying an annoying little brat I find myself disliking her sometimes!) I hope they give Lauren some decent storylines of her own in time.

I guess Chesney will have to live with Fiz now that Les and Cilla are going. Wonder what will happen to Kirk...?
-
Yeah I hate Sean. He started off with potential but he's just turned out to be annoying rather than evil. He shouts way too much and seems to have only two facial expressions - angry and fuming. Unfortunately I just can't warm to Lucy either - I know that having Ian Beale for a dad, a dead convict for a mum and about twenty stepmums who've all been and gone by the time you're 12 isn't exactly the recipe for a nice, normal kid, but she just comes across as a spoilt little cow. There have been times when she's shown a more sensitive side, especially in her scenes with Jane, but they seem determined to go down the tried and tested 'teen rebel' route with her. It's a shame.

Lol, I'm going to disagree with you again. I think Craig is a complete pillock, and the most unrealistic teenager imaginable. I know he's meant to be a bit unbalanced, but kids just don't talk like that. And why is an 18 year old interested in a 12/13 year old girl? It just doesn't happen.
-
If you notice, that's the type of girl Will goes for. Gypsy, Sandy, Dani - all brats. Peta was an exception, but that didn't last five minutes. Some guys just like high maintenance women...go figure!
-
Will has left school, hasn't he? So he's not even at school, let alone in the same year as Dani. I'm assuming she just took him to the formal as her guest. But it is possible for people of different ages to be in the same year, as sometimes kids get held back.
-
I actually quite like that. It's a nice bit of continuity, and it's realistic too - there are people like that, the 'black sheep' of the family or whatever. I feel a bit sorry for Billy, they really do treat him like c**p sometimes.
-
Argh I'd completely forgotten about the little girl and her half-brother (I think his name might have been Finlay, but then again that might be a complete figment of my imagination). What's the point of them if they're never in the show?!
-
The public reaction to the Mortons hasn't been good at all, so they've either got to give them a really big storlyine or get rid of them quick smart. They've been in the show for months now and I still don't even know any of their names apart from Jerry (oh and grandad, if that counts!). I do think the Casey storyline is getting good at the moment but it's been spoiled a bit because it was dragged out for so long before anything really happened. The stuff with Leanne and Paul was good, and the Eileen and Pat thing. But they haven't had anything majorly exciting for a while.
-
Yeah they'll print any old rubbish as if it's true. Someone at Corrie probably told them to see if they'd believe it.
-
All of those have been denied by producer's (and the Candice one by the actress herself).

Bert has gone? I know what people mean about Bradley and Stacey. Personally I've never been a big fan. They had some lovely, cute moments the first time round but on the whole I never thought they were that well matched. Bradley seems to be quite an inconsistant character...one minute he's following her round like a lovesick puppy and the next he's being horrible to her and dumping her because she's too common. And Stacey never really seemed that into him, except for the odd moment like when she went for the abortion. She's forever snapping at him and acting like she wants him to just get lost. I get the feeling the writers don't know where they're going with them as a couple.

That's what I mean - we know that Stella's parents blamed her for her sister dying, but we know really know what happened and if she was really responsible. I got the feeling that the sister was the favourite and that Stella was so messed up because she was blamed and neglected, rather than because she killed her.
-
I think the first one's great, Jen. I love the black and white Belle and Drew av as well.
-
I hope we find out more about Stella's background before everything is wrapped up. I'd really like to know what exactly happened with her sister.
-
So sad. I really hope that she and Jack don't split up - they're an institution!

I heard (can't remember where, I think it was a magazine) that Louisa Lytton may be returning to EE when her contract at The Bill ends. Anyone know anything about this?
-
So has Li actually left? Wow, the scripwriters actually made a decent decision for once! I think Preeti and Mickey could work well as a couple but both characters need some work. Mickey comes across as quite one-dimensional and it's about time they actually gave him a storyline to get his teeth into - unless, of course, they don't think the actor could cope with it, in which case why are they hanging on to him? Preeti is sweet and quirky but I can see why people find her irritating. She needs to stop being so desperate and show more of her good points. Are they still planning on bringing her family into the show? That might help to flesh out her character a bit.
-
Li doesn't really do anything though, does she? Maybe she'd be more popular if they gave her a decent storyline, but at the moment all she does is talk about money and have a go at Mickey.
-
They're really great Jen, I'm going to save the Ric one for future use if that's ok? I'll credit and upload.
