It's just so disappointing when a good thread gets ruined. I want to say something to them but I know it will just come out sounding patronising and mean.
-
Hey guys, how is everyone? Just came in for a bit of a rant. I would have posted in the 'have a moan' thread, but seeing as I'm ranting about some people on here I don't think it would be appreciated! I'm getting really annoyed with all the 12 year old half-wits on here these days - it's starting to feel like an invasion! More and more often, I find a perfectly good thread, read it and post comments, only to go back a couple of days later and find it's been turned into a conversation (and a very idiotic conversation at that) between two or three fools! Is it just me...?
-
Yeah, I can see their point, but if what Daza says is true surely it's not realistic for her to go off to college without any family or anything to live with in the holidays? They could have brought in a new family member or something, it would be a good opportunity for a new character. Personally I thought she was great with the Slaters, and with Kat and Big Mo leaving they need some more relatives!

I really really don't want Ruby to leave. Producers on soaps make me so mad sometimes...I swear they live in a bubble and have no idea what the public response is at all. I know I say this all the time but I just can't understand it when they constantly axe characters who are among the most popular on the show! H&A does it, Eastenders does it, what's going on?! Deep calming breaths...

Thanks for the spoiler hint Ash.

I can never use the bloody spoiler tag, sorry guys... S P O I L E R S It's been in the news today that they're killing off one of five characters who are leaving before the new year (not counting Nana Moon). That's Kat, Alfie, Dennis, Sharon and (I think, unless anyone can remember someone else who's going?) Chrissie. Money is on Dennis but I think it might be Chrissie - maybe she kills herself in prison? Her scenes with Sharon last week didn't seem very final, so I reckon there could well be more to it. Then again, it might be good if Dennis died, as at least they won't have to split him and Sharon up if/when she returns. That would be awful.
-
Well Chrissie didn't mention Zoe but I remember Sam mentioning her...and even if she didn't, the police would still want to know where Zoe was when Den was killed, as she was meant to be with Chrissie!
-
Hehe, sorreeee.

I wasn't really involved in the whole SDA thing, but I know he wasn't exactly blameless. That's what I meant by karma. I've noticed that he posts on the Lost UK forum sometimes, so he's still alive at least! Privilege without the 'd' Liz.
-
Yeah so the pub actually belongs to Sharon, as Den's next of kin. She's selling it to the Mitchells though. Dennis and Sharon must be going soon...I *really* hope it's together! I can just about believe that Jake wouldn't be charged with anything, as he didn't actually do a lot wrong. What I find more unbelievable is that Stacey and Zoe won't even be questionned, let alone charged! Kat said that they're off the hook, but surely the police now realise that Stacey gave Chrissie (and therefore Zoe) a false alibi? My brain is starting to hurt!
-
I didn't have anything against SDA...it's kind of sad that someone had to leave. Then again, I suppose that's karma for you.
-
Yeah that's true, maybe they wanted to wait so it wasn't insensitive to his family. I loved Seth - especially his moustache! They're doing a great job with the storyline, it's like old-school Emmerdale without the dull bits!
-
Aww don't be mean Liz, the actor did actually die y'know! The ep was good though wasn't it? Bless Seth.

Phil annoys the hell out of me...come to think of it, he always has. Grant has a softer side though, he was great when Tiffany died. As for Sonia and Martin, yup, agreed. They seem to have got themselves in a rut (the writers, that is) and I can't see how they're going to get out of it, especially now they've brought back Rebecca *again*.
-
That's not true about Grant. I'm not sure how long he's staying this time, hopefully longer than 3 weeks, but he will probably be coming back again in January for another short stint (4 months is what I've heard). It's not definite yet but it's looking likely, as they're planning on a big exit for him (a *very* final one, if you know what I mean!).
-
Hmm, the comedy is good, but they have to watch that it doesn't go too 'panto'. A couple of the lines last night were a bit cringeworthy (eg. Grant: Are you sure he's my brother?). On the whole though, quite exciting!
-
No, Sonia is great, I just think she's acting out of character at the mo. Maybe they made a mistake marrying her and Martin off so young, because they don't seem to know what to do with them now (except bring up Chloe/Rebecca again and again...). Does Ruby staying with the Slaters mean she won't be leaving when Johnny and Tina go? *crosses fingers*
-
Ash, I completely agree with you about Sonia and Martin. I just don't get it. I know all married couples have rough patches, particularly young ones, but they way they're doing it is just crap. Sonia is being really selfish, it's so annoying! And now on top of that they're bringing Rebecca back to make their problems worse...it's like the writers want to shake their relationship up a bit but they don't quite know how.

She works as a cleaner for Nicola. Before that she worked in Pollard and Steph's ridiculous factory (who in their right mind would have bought those ornaments?!) and I think before that she was a mechanic. Oh and before THAT, which was even before she married Zack, she was a pig farmer!
-
Dawn annoys the hell out of me. She was great when first arrived, a real breath of fresh air, and she's a beautiful girl but they don't make the most of her. They've turned her into a nagging fish-wife and she's only about 20! Her and Scott don't suit at all.
-
Ooh I didn't know it was your birthday, now you're the same age as me. It's not so bad, honest! I'm refusing to accept turning 20 though. Since the ages starting getting scary (last year) I decided to start counting backwards, so instead of being 20 in December I will be 17. In my head at least! Have a great day Karl!

Yeah I liked that too. I think that's the best way to do an incest storyline, because they aren't actually related (I find that too nauseating to watch), but they'd grown up together like brother and sister. I've never really liked Kelly's character though. I realise that you're not meant to like her, but there are soap bitches who you love to hate and then there are ones you just hate - and she is the latter! An example of the former, for me, would be someone like Sadie. Kelly just seems to have got even more whiny and irritating since she came back.
-
Eeeew. I can't stand Kelly, why have they brought her back? I really don't need to see that!
-
Why are they killing Nana in a fire when she is already terminally ill?
-
Does anyone else feel disappointed that they haven't done anything with Delilah's character yet? I thought she was supposed to fill the gap left by Chaz while she's away, but she'll be back soon and Del still hasn't had a storyline! I can't see the point of her really, she's just a Chaz clone. Sad about Max, but he didn't do a lot either. And I always wondered how come he had a well-spoken London accent while the rest of the family are all Yorkshire men! Love Carl though.
