  1. Rachel - 53 Tony - 88
  2. ^ That is actually one of my favourite scenes of theirs. I was really disappointed that it was the ONLY scene they got in the aftermath of Joe's death but i was lovely. Rachel looked absolutely broken and Tony was a complete sweetheart, telling her that the one thing he wants more than anything is to raise a child with her. And they kissed for the first time in aaaages! It proved just how much Tony wants a baby also.
  3. Yep that's such a good episode, with her sitting on his lap and them giggling like school children haha. That was Beth's one year anniversary of her death episode wasn't it? And Tachel's first argument I loved the way they stared into each others eyes at the diner when Tony apologised It's a shame we can't get that list of Tachel moments moved onto the first page of this thread as it's now lost in the middle somewhere!
  4. I think baby Ella was the most recent girl!!! Have just watched their date at Tony's house the night Dan died and HAVE to add it to my top Tachel moment, so make it a top 4.
  5. My favourite this year has to be the cuddle they have after Tony misses the ultrasound. It was soo sad but sweet to see Tony finally opening up and talking about his feelings and I thought it was really lovely that Rachel was the only one to realise that he was going through exactly what he went through with Kate. I'm pleased that Rachel didn't have a go at him for what he said about not caring about the baby as she obviously knew it was just the grief talking. I did love the one you mentioned sportzgal also where Rachel hugged Tony at the hospital and broke down when she got home in his arms. From last year there are way too many to just pick one but my top three would probably be (in no particular order): 1. When they realise the vasectomy reversal has worked and spend the whole day trying to start practising haha. 2. When Rachel doesn't want Tony to go through with the reversal because she's worried she's going to lose him. And he bought the booties for the baby 3. The scene in the gym in particular, they were sooooo happy and had lots of cuddles and kisses. And the scan was too cute, Tony calling the bubs "peanut."
  6. Welcome to the good side hehe. I agree Charlene, they manipulated a lot of things (character consistency and also what was shown on screen) to fit in with the cliffhanger and find a way for Bridget to come to the Bay and a reason for Rachel to be suspicious of her. If you all had to pick one Tachel scene as your favourite what would it be?
  7. Seeing as Kirsty's not online I'm sure she wont mind me answering this on her behalf! She's referring to the Olympic Cliffhanger, when Rachel "left Tony at the alter" (we later found out that she'd been held hostage by Aden) and all her friends believed she'd run off with her ex Hugh. Then Tony left Summer Bay and when he returned he admitted that he'd slept with Bridget while away and had been living with her. I think they totally changed Tony's character for the sake of this cliffhanger and I also believe it's the reason they rushed the engagement.

  16. A year since their first date yesterday!!! Happy Anniversary Tachel Sometimes I do complain about the way Tachel are written and the amount of screentime they get but I think we have been quite lucky when you think of how much focus "older" couples usually get. I think the issue is exactly as you said Kirsty, that we usually just get the conclusion to their storylines, never the beginning. For example, the episode Rachel found out she was pregnant was also the episode we found out that they were having trouble conceiving and Rachel had put Tony on a strict diet/regime. By the end of the episode, it was all solved (obviously.) I don't think it was too rushed either, there have been a lot of indications that they had a good friendship before. There was the scene when Tony was in hospital and Rachel came in to check on him and they were comparing notes on how each other were coping with their loss (Tony with Beth and Rachel with Kim) And also their movie nights which although we didn't see, we heard about. Oh and Rachel trying to set Tony and Julie up (every person she'd tried setting Julie up she's ended up with herself (Hugh and Tony) I think the reason I love them so much are mainly because they deal with normal everyday issues and they're such great actors that their scenes are always great acting wise and easy to believe in. I've loved seeing Tony have more screentime since he's been with Rachel. He used to be really overshadowed by Beth and just acted as her shoulder to cry on while she was getting all the storylines but with Rachel it's much more equal. Plus I never believed in Tony and Beth because there was never any physical contact! Yet with Tachel it's the little moments that count the most, they can't keep their hands off each other They're always touching each other in some way (usually Rachel rubbing Tony's back or stroking his arm and Tony playing with her hair or stroking her cheek hehe) Rachel and Tony are in a difficult place at the moment but I hope soon they can become a happy little family again, the scenes before the season finale were just soo lovely, seeing them all happy and excited about the baby, just being normal. Until then though I'm going to enjoy the Tachel even though I know the next few weeks are going to be heartbreaking to watch.

  19. No-one knows I don't think. I believe her first contract was for 2 years but I'm not sure how long her second contract was for or when it runs out. Hopefully it will be extended whenever this one runs out. Kirsty, that last scene was one of Amy's best this week acting wise. The way she was trying to hold back the tears and just watched Tony walk away proved how much it was hurting her to see him hurting like that. I'm amazed no-one heard her gasp like that And even though I don't agree with her telling Hugo she was worried about them staying with her, it seems her concerns were validated as Xavier's actions are clearly going to make Tony takes 100 steps back. Poor guy he's been hurt enough already.
  20. Alf - 6 Angelo - 5 Annie - 5 Belle - 5 Bridget - 3 Charlie - 9 Colleen - 5 Fitzy - 5 Geoff- 5 Irene - 5 Kane - 5 Kirsty- 6 Jai - 5 Julie - 5 Leah - 5 Martha - 5 Matthew - 5 Melody - 2 Miles - 5 Morag - 5 Nicole 5 Ollie - 6 Rachel- 16 Roman - 4 Ruby - 5 Tony - 5 VJ - 4 Xavier -4
  21. I really really love Hugo. I thought he was such a sweetheart today; really worried about being a burden and trying not to offend Rachel or Tony or make things difficult for them and he sorted that horrible Xavier out. Plus it's about time we had some eye candy on this show and him being nice is just an added extra
  22. If they're worth anything, here are my thoughts on Rachel today. Firstly, emmasi I do agree with you that it wasn't Rachel's place to mention that she was worried Hugo and Xavier would cause disruption to Tony. I think the madness behind her reasoning was that Tony doesn't need to deal with a drug dealing difficult teenager right now whose own mother has palmed him off on her grieving brother and she was genuinely worried about him taking a backslide when he'd only just starting talking and opening up. HOWEVER Tony had mentioned that he was ok with them staying and I think it was a bit rude to say what she did to Hugo even though she had Tony's best interest at heart. Plus I'm quite upset that Hugo is now leaving their house because I really like him (but that's for a different thread) I guess she was proved right in the end, I just didn't like the way she went about it. And I hate that yellow top (off-topic I know) Plus the Miles/Rachel scene, as much as I do like seeing different characters interacting, I thought it was all a bit random. I liked the talk and thought the advice she gave Miles was great and it was a nice little relationship building there, especially after the help Rachel gave Melody before. I just think the way the beginning of the scene was constructed..Rachel checking up on him after Kirsty left him and him nearly falling on her. I don't know if I'm making sense but it was all just a bit...weird to me.
  23. Ah right sorry hehe. I guess she thought he was ok with the scan being that day seeing as he reassured her twice that he would be there. A couple of extra days probably wouldn't make much difference, he'll still be grieving poor guy. I don't know how you can ever get over losing a child, especially how close to Jack he was. I'll miss their scenes together. Kirsty I agree with you. Id like to see Rachel drop the doctor voice when she's not at work, it annoys me to and comes across as really patronising. I DID like however that Rachel was the one to be able to on some level understand where Tony's coming from. I don't think anyone else has considered how much Jack's death is reminding him of Kate's (even I didn't) and he's having to relieve the whole thing again.
  24. ^ I mentioned it somewhere on here but didn't explain it as clearly as you haha. I think that is what caused her to blurt it out like that. She didn't realise that Alf was going to follow Bridget and that you like you said proved to her that Bridget hadn't stopped all contact and I think that she just couldn't hold it in any longer. She felt really bad after and apologised and according to Morag was really upset about it. I think she realised she was in the wrong pretty quickly. I know what you mean about being loyal haha. Sometimes I feel the need to defend her just because I know it's inconsistent with her character but I do try to be as objective as possible. I know she's not perfect and is going to make mistakes and I'll happily point them out when she does. I think one of the problems with Rachel is the writers have caused so much trouble with her and babies (Kim couldn't conceive, then him having a baby with Kit led to her getting desperate for one of her own, then her having a miscarriage with a guy who didn't want the baby then Tony having had a vasectomy that probably wouldn't be successfully reversed) that if she so much as mentions a baby now people think "ugh stop moaning about babies" Haha. Plus she's such a strong female character that sometimes she's a little too headstrong and feisty.
  25. I really love that Tony is starting to open up to Rachel. He's needed someone to talk to; Roman's just hanging around to try and get Martha into bed, Martha's too busy running around trying to solve Jack's murder and Alf's too heartbroken over Bridget's scam to comfort the poor guy. FINALLY, he's realised that Rachel can help him through it. From the promo he appears to open up to her more to and I'm enjoying the normal homely Tachel scenes I don't think either of them were in the wrong in today's episode, it's a difficult situation that you don't deal with every day and there are so many other factors other than Tony just losing his son.
