  1. I really enjoyed the scenes with Brendan today and how the whole family seemed to light up around him. Brendan is really sweet and I think the actor has done an amazing job, it must be very challenging to play a disabled character and to make it realistic and I think he's succeeded. I really admire H&A for bringing in a disabled character.
  2. I'm really enjoying this! Sorry I haven't commented yet, I'm lazy but I have been following it since you started, I think the show lost a character with a lot of potential when Tam left.
  3. I have to say I agree with you. I like both Aden and Belle as individual characters but together they just drive me mad. Belle is being so selfish at the moment and when Aden finds out he's going to be furious and rightly so, seeing as his Dad being an addict was one of the things he hated most about him. He went through a lot of pain with his Dad's problems and being around Belle will just remind him of that. I have really liked how they're recently been exploring Aden's character on his own with the Joey storyline, I think we need more storylines with Belle and Aden seperately (although I think Jess needs a well deserved break soon.) Despite me being highly irritated by Belle at the minute, Jess is doing an awesome job.
  4. The fact that she has had NO pregnancy symptoms whatsoever (apart from mentioning pregnancy hormones) worries me a bit Surely they're not gonna have a drama free pregnancy in H&A, something has to go wrong at some point! Weve already seen Rachel showing vunerability since she became pregnant so I think it would make sense for her to maybe start to doubt herself or something and need to talk to someone who has been through what she is going through. Leah would be a good option seeing as she's her best friend but I'd actually like her to communicate with Gina more when she comes back into the show for a bit. Last time we didn't see them have a conversation on their own at all and she's meant to be her sister in law.
  5. Just because she's a doctor doesn't mean she's psychic and automatically knows that everything's fine with her baby. I personally don't see the harm in it, there is an actual living, moving baby inside her stomach, I'd be touching it to. It's probably constantly moving about and kicking her, touching the bump is the mother's way of communicating with the baby and showing her love for it. Plus rubbing the bump probably calms the baby down. It's very in character for her to do it and I don't see the harm. Anyway it's fine if people are annoyed by it, they're entitled to but let's move on. Kirsty I would love her Mum to be mentioned during this pregnancy, she must need some advice from someone whose been through it before. Maybe later on in the pregnancy she'll be mentioned?
  6. That was really brilliant, I love how you included so many of the characters and in typical Summer Bay fashion they all pulled together to help in a crisis. You put a lot of description in, I really enjoyed it. I hope you write more!
  7. Ohh its' interesting to see how different yours and Laura's takes on this story are. I'm really enjoying this, lots of unexpected shocks. Angelo and Rachel hey? Now that's not something I've ever thought about! Update soon please
  8. Yer the lack of actual Tachel scenes together was disappointing. I felt really bad for Tony because it seems every beautiful idea he has which costs him money gets destroyed, the first wedding, Jack's boat and now those roses. It was such a lovely thought and they all got blown away I was hoping for a kiss and I was hoping for a scene with them together after the proposal but hey, the comedy of the episode was funny, seeing Tony happy was lovely, and the proposal was so beautiful I feel bad for complaining I think this is a new start for Tony & Rachel. And if that was lovely imagine what the wedding will be like.
  9. Awww, it's so lovely to see Tony so happy and "normal" again and going back to his hopelessly romantic and gentlemanly nature He is an absolute sweetheart and he put so much thought into everything tonight, the whole 115 roses for every day since they were last meant to be married was such a beautiful thought. I have to say I'm quite sad we didn't get to see his little surprise set up at home with the lights and music because it sounded gorgeous! The words he said to Rachel as well were just so lovely and I liked how he involved everyone in the surprise (I also thought it was hilarious how he chose a place that had roses for a third off lol! Typical man Joking) I also liked the bit where Rachel came in and they had to get rid of her (her face when Martha suggested buying her lunch was funny ) and then push Tony back into the gym. I'm so happy to see Tony happy again. It's also nice for Tachel to be part of the comedy in the episode and not the angst for once! I was so pleased to see Miles involved today, I was hoping him and Tony would be able to form a friendship out of it but it seems it was more about Martha/Miles. I have to agree with you rachel&kim though in the aus discussion about the lack of a kiss, was very disappointed and I think it was missing. Just because Tachel are an older couple writers doesn't mean they can't kiss, they couldn't keep their hands off each other at the last proposal!
  10. I understand what the girls above are saying. There's no way realistically that Tony could have worked on the boat, gone to work at the gym, finished the boat, launched the boat, bought all that baby stuff and taken it home, started working on the baby's room, gone looking for his tools, gone for a walk, noticed the boat missing, called the police, gone for a drive looking for it, gone out in the boat looking for it all in one day. Kirsty, I'm interested to know where you were going with that theory I think it was the bed sheets that were red and the duvet was blue but I'm not really sure why I'm discussing Tachel's bed covers I've been really really pleased to see Tony & Rachel getting better material to work with and more scenes than they did last year - long may it continue!
  11. It was last night's episode! 4810 it's on youtube in part 1. A very quick blink and you miss it but lovely I'm also sad they've done this to the boat, after all that hard work and effort, money and time Tony has spent on the boat, it's heartbreaking for it to have just been destroyed like that.
  12. Whoops I got a bit carried away, thank you for editing it out Karen! I love seeing the complete transformation in Tony & Rachel's relationship to how it was last week, I'd forgotten how touchy feely they were as a couple and I think they've both handled this storyline amazingly. Jon has really really proved himself as an actor to me, portraying beautifully how raw grief is and it's so lovely to see Tony smiling again and realising he has lots to look forward to. Amy as well has managed to make a lot of Rachel doubters feel sympathy for her and that takes a lot It's the little subtle moments that she's created with Rachel, the little looks of sadness and vunerability which have really made it heartbreaking to watch. And she's playing a pregnant woman lovely, all the little bump strokes and holding her back. And the excitement over the baby is jsut like an expectant mother would be, except Rachel's had to try and conceale it so as not to make things difficult for Tony. I guess what I'm trying to say is I thought I would hate the most recent storyline but I ended up really enjoying it and think there's lots to look forward to with Tony & Rachel.
  13. Yer she was probably just waiting at the pier for them to come, I doubt she'd have gone out in the boat....Alf went with Tony because he didn't want him going on his own. I think the shortness of the scene was just unfortunate seeing as for the past 3 months Tony's been totally ignoring the baby and acting like he doesn't care about it at all...even saying he doesn't. So it would have been nice for a bit more of a 'talk' between them but their big long chat hasn't seemed to happen yet! But the sentiment was beautiful
  14. I completely agree with you, it was lovely to see Tony feeling able to talk to Rachel about his feelings, like Rachel said, finishing that boat has really brought him some peace and he's finally been able to sort out his priorities as Tony said. Him surprising her with the baby stuff was just beautiful (I hope we get to see the baby's room at some point and it's not going to be one of those imaginary ones in that house) and really showed that Tony is excited about having the baby and is finally able to start looking forward to it. He's got that spark back in him and so has Rachel, he was beaming when he saw how happy Rachel was, it was lovely. I was quite disappointed it was such a small, sort of throwaway scene but maybe that's just the Tachel fan in me! I was really worried that finding out about Angelo would revert Tony back to his depressed state but thankfully he opened up about his feelings to Rachel (or ranted should I say) It really sounded like he called Rachel hun in that scene when they're walking towards the boat, he says something like "you know hun im just so sick and tired" I'm sure he didn't as it's very un-Tony but it did sound like it! Finishing the boat really has brought Tony some closure and Rachel & Tony were finally able to enjoy being an engaged couple expecting a baby today (before the boat and Angelo drama) and all the little hugs were very cute. A little off topic but I'm quite disappointed we didn't get to see Alf and Tony out on a boat
  15. Yes you're right thank you Suzanne! Blue heelers was the ep where she played a pregnant woman and shot a man haha.
  16. According to imdb.com she was in an episode of Blue Heelers with Jon. She played a mother of a supposed victim and Jon played a detective. The episode was called time bomb, season 8 episode 11 if that helps!
  17. You're right, there have been a few lovely moments throughout this whole thing where Tony has showed how excited he is about the baby....when the baby kicked and when Rachel told him the baby had kicked for the first time. Also when you look at the scenes before Jack died, the ultrasound and when Tony found out you could see how thrilled he was about becoming a Dad again. Like you said, now the boat has been launched hopefully he can start enjoying planning for the baby now, I just hope that Rachel's had to pretty much deal with the first half of the pregnancy on her own and it must have hurt her when she realised her was about to call the boat his baby. I have a feeling He did half apologise today when making his speech but I would like them to sit down and talk through things properly, like I said above though, I think this could happen on Thursday.
  18. She's been in quite a few things before H&A I think. She was in a film called Gabriel, an episode of Blue Heelers, and another program (with Jon coincidentally, I can't remember the name) I think all the stuff she's don'e is on imdb.com
  19. Totally agree with everything you said there Karen! Whilst I didn't think I would like the storyline or the idea of Rachel accusing Tony of cheating (because I never for a second thought he would be) I think it was a brilliant way of showing a different side to both of their characters. I have NEVER seen Tony like that and Rachel showed a vunerable side which she's been hiding for a long time now! That argument was brilliant and like you say, passionate At first I thought this situation was resolved but after watching today's episode, I'm not so sure it is. Rachel seems to have learnt from it, Tony showed absolutely no interest in the baby yet she didn't make it about her at all and just gave him some space to deal with it. I can understand Tony wants to dedicate his time to fixing the boat and if Rachel had asked him to go and see the cot that day, I'd have understood him not having time and brushing her off. I'm not criticising Tony as losing a child must be unbearable but I still think he needs time and therefore we might get more a discussion a bit later. I definetely thought the aftermath of the storyline was a bit of a letdown, they didn't exactly talk things through. But I think they used the end of Tony's storyline to start Martha's, so the scenes on the pier were more focused on Martha's grief. One of the things the show is really lacking at the minute is steady/concrete relationships, both romantic and family wise. There are actually no married couples in the show at the minute and that's why I'm hoping Tachel do become a long term couple. I think a lot could still be done with Kate and Tony's past, we know so little about it that there's so much that could happen. Equally with Rachel she has no direct family around and is about to become a Mum for the first time, it will probably bring up old feelings about losing her own Mother and they could bring her Dad back into it.
  20. Can we please stick to just discussing Tony/Rachel in this thread and not Adelle? (This isn't a personal attack on your comment Lily, just a general observation!) Everyone has their own opinions and reasons for liking the couples they do and that's great whether it be because of age, being able to relate to them, character personality etc I'm not just saying this because I'm a Tachel fan but I have always wondered if they were going to split Tony & Rachel up what the reason would be? They've tackled infidelity, lack of trust, the subject of children. So you never know sportzgal we might get our happy ending And Tony's had so much grief in his life I don't think he could take anymore! Crazylazy - I really liked the way Martha was involved as well. It must have been difficult for her to see what was happening between Tony & Rachel and I think the reason she got so angry with Tony was because she believed he was cheating to and therefore felt angry that he was doing that to Rachel after she'd just lost her husband. She probably felt like he was throwing away a really good thing and her thinking he was cheating to was probably one of the things that made him realise how distant he really had been and should open up a bit more.
  21. Sorry I hope you didn't think I was bringing it up to disagree with your comment. I think it's perfectly understandable to relate to couple because of age and issues they're going through that you are also. I'm not really sure why I relate to the older characters like Tachel to be honest, maybe I've got an older brain Danni - if it was weird to like the arguement then I'm weird to because I thought it was brilliant! It was about time we saw them showing some emotion to each other and in a weird way I think the way they reacted proved how much they loved each other because of the way they were so hurt by each other. If they didn't care about each other that much then Rachel wouldn't have been too bothered by the prospect of being a single mum and losing Tony and he wouldn't have felt so betrayed by her accusation. It was so powerful and passionate and was the real turning point for the both of them
  22. That was it, thank you for looking for them! Aww it's a shame they missed out on that opportunity there! It's a shame your video wont upload I'd love to see it, keep trying hehe! If you search Tachel on youtube it's the first one that comes up, its brilliant! I'm hoping now they've figured a few things out, Tony & Rachel will have a bit of a happier time like before Jack died, all excited about the baby. Like you say though it'll probably result in less screentime The best way we'll be able to see if the wedding goes smoothly is if there's a drama before the wedding. Usually if there's a drama before the wedding goes without a hitch but if everything's perfect before something WILL happen at the wedding. I think after the last wedding nightmare this one should go pretty smoothly. Poor Tony I hope they don't go anything too dramatic with the baby's birth, he'll have a nervous breakdown! I'm looking forward to seeing Rachel being a Mum, she's wanted it for so long and I think it will loosen her up a bit and hopefully she'll become a bit more carefree like when she first arrived. I don't think she's that much different now to when she first turned up but she had more happier storylines back then, I think that's why she had such a big fanbase and I think she's due another!
  23. I agree with you Cal. Although things are obviously going to still be difficult for Tony, I think things will be better for Tony/Rachel in the upcoming episodes now that they both had a bit of an eyeopener...I'm glad they're getting all these insecurities out in the open before they get married. Hopefully they'll go back to communicating with each other the way they always have done. And hopefully Rachel will now realise Tony does need his space some of the time and Tony will confide in Rachel a bit more. Thank you Hattie I'm sure there are loads more but I think that's what I love about Tachel, that they are older and more mature and they have like you said been through all those teenage dramas. There's definetely a difference in the way Rachel communicates with Kim to how she does with Tony now, maybe that's why she pushed the whole "Tony don't push me away talk about your feelings" when he lost Jack. It's funny what you guys were saying up above about relating to different couples because of their age, I'm only 20 but I relate more to Tachel than any of the teenagers on the show. And I want to reiterate that as a Tachel fan, I'm still happy for others to come into this thread and convey their feelings about Tachel if they're negative. Makes for a fun debate
  24. Yes I remember it now it was brilliant! It was actually your fic that made me think....hmm they could work!! It's a shame they didn't even have a little moment, would have made Jack's death storyline even more interesting There was one on here I think (was it Miranda? Sorry if I've credited the wrong person) where Tony had broken up with Rachel because he couldn't have kids but he didn't tell her and Jack had broken up with...Martha? (Or Sam, I lose track!) and they had a drunken thing and she got pregnant, they got married and then Jack died of liver damage from his alcohol addiction. It so could have worked! I have to admit I was so against the idea of Tony & Rachel at the beginning but now I adore them, yer sometimes they do things which drive me crazy but I'm just so excited for their "normal" storylines they seem to get....the baby Hopefully they don't have toooo much drama surrounding those and it goes fairly smoothly (wishful thinking I know!!) Whenevr I have second thoughts about Tony & Rachel as a couple I watch sexyluc (Kevin's Tachel music video) and it reminds me why I love them
  25. There are a few examples I can think of: When Rachel regretted letting Dane take Joe away she told Tony that she wanted to call DOCS and do something, Tony suggested that it wasn't their place to get involved and take a little boy away from his Dad and so Rachel took his advice and didn't do anything. The next we heard from this storyline, Joe had died. When Joe had died, although Rachel shut Tony out for one night, she came to apologise the next day and explained her feelings about why she'd done it and her fears that they'll never become parents. Tony assures her that they will and that he wants it more than anything else in the world. When Rachel was jealous of Tony living with Jazz she explained that it was because it reminded her of the Kim/Kit situation, they spoke about both of their sides of the situation and after promising Rachel Jazz living with him wouldn't affect them she agreed that Jazz should stay. When Tony was worried he could never have children he explained to Rachel his feelings and how she deserved better and asked her to think about how she truly felt. She came back and explained that if they work through their problems together the children issue wont come between them. I'm sure there's loads more but I need to have a look through old episodes, that was just off the top of my head Of course everybody has their own opinion and you are completely entitled to not like Tony/Rachel or Tachel I think people were just offended by the way in which you informed us that Tachel weren't in a couples gallery and your reason for not liking Tachel is a lot like the reasons a few of us don't like Adelle. But like others have said this is not the thread for that. Let's keep this thread to Rachel/Tony discussion.
