Extended Summary

Harper and Tane arrive at the surf club. Tane is looking after Archie for the evening while Harper spends time with Dana. They notice Mali looking glum and John says he’s in the dog house. Mali says he said something to Abigail’s mum that he shouldn’t have. At the hospital, Dana turns up, telling Leah that Levi is sending security but sent her first. Theo is wheeled in and Dana tells him Leah’s been told she can’t stay. Theo says he’s being discharged today but refuses to discuss going home with Leah. A security guard turns up and Leah leaves.

Bree turns up to see Sonny at the flat with shower materials. She explains Theo’s about to be discharged and Sonny says he’s been bored there on his own. He thanks her for letting him stay. Bree retrieves the crisps Sonny was eating before she leaves. Down in the Diner, Irene tells Justin about Leah going to the hospital to see Theo. Leah turns up and gripes that Theo’s still refusing to see her. Justin reminds her they said they’d give Theo space. He suggests Theo might come to theirs once he’s discharged.

At Salt, Dana tries to get Harper’s attention and says Tane’s always been responsible apart from the time he took a baby. Bree turns up and Dana invites her to join them, saying it’s Harper’s first night out. She adds that they’re not going to talk about the baby, at least after Harper has shown her the latest photos. She asks about Sonny, and Bree says he’s staying at hers now and bored. Dana announces she has a thing to do and leaves. Harper realises it’s about Sonny and is happy to go home early.

At the flat, Theo is settling in and thanks Sonny for saving his life. Brad shows Dana in. She is surprised to see Theo there, saying she heard Sonny was bored and alone. Theo isn’t sure if she should be there and Dana offers to go but Sonny points out she’s brought beer. Theo admits he hasn’t told Leah and Justin where he is and heads to his room.

At the Diner, John tells Irene about Mali being in bother with Abby because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. Justin suggests to Leah that they go and see a movie. Leah admits she wasn’t listening. She gets a text from Theo saying he’s moved into Bree’s place, is safe and has security and isn’t their problem. Leah stands up but Justin tells her not to.

At the Parata house, Tane is looking after Archie. Mali says that no-one told him that Abby’s mum didn’t know about her addiction but Abby did tell him to stay away. He worries that he’s messed things up between them. Tane points out that both their mothers have been angry with them in the past but always forgave them. Mali turns off his phone.

Leah tries to get Justin to see Theo but Justin thinks that would make things worse. Irene suggests they listen to Theo. Justin notes that they’d have to get past security. John wonders who’s paying for it. Justin recalls Remi’s paying for Sonny and realises that Remi lied when he said he didn’t know where Theo was staying. John says he was just looking out for a mate and Justin drops it, telling Leah that they couldn’t keep Theo safe.

Upstairs, Dana asks Theo what caused the rift between him, Justin and Leah. Sonny realises this is how she knows everything. Theo and Sonny explain to her about Leah warning Lacey off and her being in police protection. Sonny convinces Theo it’s safest he hasn’t heard from her. Theo goes to bed and Sonny tells Dana she can’t tell anyone any of this. They flirt a bit and then kiss.

Harper asks Bree what it’s like working with Dana. Bree says she’s punctual and chatty. Harper is pleased she’s dating again but admits she doesn’t know much about Sonny. Bree says he’s a great guy and it’s a shame they didn’t meet in better circumstances, explaining he was at the hospital. Harper says she didn’t know that and Bree goes on to tell her he’d been beaten, has security and there’s a court case.

Next morning, Harper meets Dana outside the surf club and notes she was home late. Dana says she and Sonny just kissed but it was great. Harper asks if the security made it weird. Dana says she didn’t realise Harper knew about that and they weren’t watching. Harper isn’t impressed, thinking Dana’s putting herself in danger because of a crush.

At the surf club, John jokes about Mali being in the dog house but says that he knows yesterday was important to Mali and people always forgive him for putting his foot in it. Mali texts Abigail, hoping she’s all right. Dana comes in and John comments on her coming in early. Dana is snappy and says she’s fed up of people having an opinion about things that have nothing to do with them.

At the Diner, Justin asks Irene where Leah is and she gestures upstairs. Leah comes back, saying she was just feeding Theo. Harper comes in and Bree apologises if it was too much information last night. Harper leaves Bree to keep an eye on Archie, then asks Leah and Justin about what’s going on with Theo and Sonny. Leah says there are some dangerous people after them and Dana should stay away.

Sonny accepts the delivery of food. Theo isn’t keen about Leah getting involved but Sonny says he’s missed her cooking. He wonders if Theo’s upset about the heart surgery, being stuck there or Lacey. Theo admits he’s been texting her every day even though he knows she can’t reply. Sonny suggests it’s good they haven’t heard from her. At that moment, Lacey is getting in a taxi, saying she needs to get to Summer Bay. A car pulls out behind them with three men in it. The driver, Diesel, talks to someone on the phone, saying Lacey’s on her own and they’ll see where she leads them.

John and Dana are discussing rosters at the surf club. Dana is keen to take shifts to get away from Harper. Harper comes in and asks Tane to keep an eye on Archie for a sec. She asks John for a word with Dana. John agrees…then neither of the sisters moves and he drily says he’ll leave his own office. Harper tells Dana that Theo nearly died. Dana points out she was at the hospital. Harper says she won’t allow Dana to be involved, leaving Dana flabbergasted.

At the flat, Sonny wonders if the guards got to the food first, since there’s no baklava. Theo suspects Leah withheld it to get him to come home. Brad appears at the door and checks it’s okay to let Lacey in. Lacey rushes to hug Theo, while Sonny doesn’t look too happy.
