Bella fronts for her interview. Ari and Tane find it hard to support Nikau. Colby’s fury reaches boiling point. Justin refuses to admit he’s in pain.
Extended Summary
Bella has to relive the traumas of her past when she finally sits down for an interview with Angelo. Those horrific moments replay over in her mind but she tries her best to hold herself together for the interview. She keeps her story straight but Willow and Colby worry whether she’ll crumble. Colby wants to call the interview off, but Willow talks sense into him. Once the interview’s over, Colby comes at Bella hard, and full of fury. When Bella breaks down and tells him she ran away for him and she came back for him, Colby feels terrible. Colby overhears an argument between Angelo and his wife, Taylor. When he comes across Taylor again in Salt, he’s the welcomed shoulder for Taylor to lay her marriage troubles upon.
Ari and Tane try to talk to Nikau about why he ran away with Bella but their inquiries come off as an attack. Nikau’s mad at Bella for running off on him and she tries to plead his forgiveness. Nikau can’t move past feeling betrayed and tells her he has some things to think about. Did she push things too far and lose her love? When Willow finally catches up with Bella, she’s distraught on the beach, knowing she’s ruined her chance at real love.
When Leah finds Justin taking pain relief, she tries to approach the subject of surgery with him, but he just refuses to speak about it and avoids the conversation all together. Justin comes back to tell her his fears. Surgery is out of the question and Leah does her best to support his decision, knowing she’s about to watch her boyfriend deteriorate in front of her.
