Extended Summary

Robbo is driving at high speed along the road, nearly overturning on the bends. Jasmine paces in the motel room then picks up the phone, only to put it down again in frustration. She searches through the leaflets on the table and finds one for the Diner. At said establishment, Irene is telling Willow about Bella moving back in with Colby when they get the call from Jasmine; she is worried about Robbo, explaining they had a fight. Irene initially downplays it but shows concern when Jasmine admits she blamed him for his family’s deaths. Since she doesn’t have her mobile, she asks them to tell Colby.

Colby knocks on Bella’s door. She claims she is unpacking (but is really just lying on the bed). Colby says they don’t have to talk about anything that makes her uncomfortable. Willow enters and asks if he’s seen Robbo, explaining the situation. Colby says he’s busy but Bella calls for him to go and Willow says she’ll stay with her. She asks Bella if she’s coming out to say hi or if Willow has to go in. Bella opens the door and says hi. Willow also makes an offer to talk before suggesting they go for a walk. At the surf club, Colby finds Dean and asks if he’s seen Robbo, also asking about him and Mackenzie. Dean just gives abrupt answers and leaves. Alf comments on the frostiness. Colby asks if he’s seen Robbo and Alf says he couldn’t miss him. Robbo is in the gym, punching a bag. Colby tells him Jasmine’s worried but Robbo says she’s safe and tells Colby to stay out of it.

Willow and Bella are on the beach. Willow gets a call from Colby. She tells him Bella’s fine and he tells her he’s found Robbo and doesn’t want to leave him at the moment. Bella tells Willow she doesn’t like that everyone knows about her. They are interrupted by Dean. When he touches Bella on the shoulder, she flinches away and shouts at him not to touch her, running off. Willow goes after her, finding her sitting on the steps by the flat. Willow says Dean didn’t mean anything. Bella tearfully says she doesn’t know why she reacted like that.

Robbo and Colby have gone for a drink at Salt. Robbo thinks he’s let Jasmine down like he let his family down. He doesn’t know what the people after him want and if he was going to solve the case he’d have done it four and a half years ago. He thinks Jasmine’s better off without him. Colby tells him not to let the lowlifes win and to go back to Jasmine. Robbo returns to the motel. He apologises for driving off while Jasmine says she was out of line to say what she did. They agree to put it behind them.

Colby rejoins Willow at the flat; Bella is in her room. Willow explains what happened with Dean before leaving them to it. Colby calls out to Bella that he has pizza and garlic bread. Bella joins him for the meal and a short movie, insisting she gets to choose. Meanwhile, Willow has met Dean at Salt. She tells him he’d know what was going on if he got over his rift with Colby, before explaining Bella was attacked. Dean seems keen to find the person responsible but Willow says he’s already been arrested and it’s Colby that Dean needs to sort things out with.

Robbo and Jasmine are eating takeaway but Robbo eventually admits the food’s bad and Jasmine agrees the feds need a better menu. She assures him she doesn’t blame him. Robbo asks if she’d still have married him if she’d known this would happen. Jasmine says she would but she’d have eloped instead of tipping off the bad guys. She reminds him he left the safe house to solve the case and says he needs to do that instead of babysitting her. Meanwhile, Bella suffers a nightmare in which she has flashbacks to Tommy pinning her down and kissing her. Colby hears breaking glass and finds Bella has dropped a glass while getting herself some water. Seeing she has cut herself, he goes to help her but she flinches away. She eventually lets him treat the wound, repeatedly apologising.

Next morning, Robbo retrieves his gun from the safe and checks with the guard, Dave, that he’ll keep an eye on Jasmine. He is meeting Lance at the station for a debrief. Jasmine assures him she’s fine but cuts a lonely figure as he leaves. At the Diner, Colby tells Willow about the previous night and how Bella seemed afraid of him. He hoped her moving back in would help but doesn’t know what to do with her. Willow tells him to go surfing and let her handle it.

Colby and Dean run into each other on the beach. Dean says he was hoping to see him and is sorry about Bella. Colby says Tommy had photos of other underage girls on his computer and doesn’t deserve to breathe. Dean says he’ll rot in jail. Colby muses people have accidents in jail but Dean says it’s not about Colby making himself feel better but about helping Bella. At the flat, Willow is there when Bella emerges. Bella admits she didn’t sleep much. She says she keeps seeing what happened and could have happened on repeat and doesn’t understand why anyone would do that: She doesn’t want anyone to touch her ever again.

Colby and Dean meet up with Willow and Bella on the beach. Dean and Bella clear the air. The girls downplay their conversation to Colby and convince him to go to work. Bella walks a little distance away and Willow tells Dean she’s struggling. Dean offers to help but Willow reminds him he’s meant to start work with Mackenzie, which he isn’t looking forward to. She notes Bella doesn’t need a big brother but a big sister.
