Extended Summary

Robbo and Jasmine go for a run near the beach. Robbo says he’s not going easy on her just because they’re getting married and Jasmine jokes that she doesn’t mind him letting her win once in a while. Not too far away, Colby finds Mackenzie outside the surf club. He notes he was worried about her but she’s looking less miserable. She says Rick isn’t as clever as he thought and Dean’s on board now but doesn’t elaborate, leaving Colby puzzled. Mackenzie takes a call from a reporter and starts giving Dean’s details and offering to provide any information.

Inside the surf club, Ryder comments to John that he’s only rostered on for two shifts this week when he usually gets at least three. John says he used to work twice as hard for half as much. He realises Mackenzie is watching them and she comments on him publicly shaming employees, telling Ryder he knows where she is.

Robbo and Jasmine arrive back at the flat. Jasmine notes they need to sort out the seating plan, plus the florist and photographer and a new cake supplier. Colby comes through and comments on memories of wedding planning. Robbo offers to help out and Jasmine asks him to sort out the seating arrangement while she gets the shot list for the photographer from the gym. Colby asks Robbo about his bucks night but he isn’t interested in having one.

Jasmine greets Willow at the gym while getting the shot list, then gets a text saying her wedding dress is ready to be picked up. She’s slightly put out, since she wasn’t planning to do it today. Willow offers to give her a lift. Jasmine says she can just take the bus, but Willow pretending to be hurt that she doesn’t want help causes her to change her mind. Meanwhile, Robbo has sorted out the seating plan and tells Colby that he’s just going to take Jasmine out for dinner. Colby protests that Robbo’s spending the rest of his life with her. Robbo says Jasmine deserves something nice too.

At the surf club, Mackenzie speaks to Dean on the phone, telling him he might hear from the journalist she spoke to earlier, which he doesn’t seem too pleased about. Colby appears and asks Mackenzie when Salt’s going to reopen, since he wants to have a dinner for Robbo and Jasmine there tonight. Mackenzie points out they’re having their wedding reception there but Colby says they’re creatures of habit. He also tries to ask her what Dean’s on board with. Mackenzie says it’s family business and he can ask Dean if he wants.

Jasmine and Willow arrive back at the beach house with the dress. Irene appears at that moment to warm greetings and tells them Olivia’s taking London by storm. Jasmine answers a call from Robbo, who is on the wharf. He asks her if she has a hen night planned. Jasmine wonders if Colby and Dean have kidnapped him. Robbo says he’s booked a table for them in Yabbie Creek tonight. Colby approaches Robbo and hears the end of the conversation, saying he’ll shout them a drink at Salt first.

At the Diner, Ryder complains to Alf and Roo that he won’t get the money to buy the car he wants with his shifts cut. He then gets a text and indicates there might be an alternative. Colby comes in to invite everyone to Robbo and Jasmine’s surprise dinner. Alf has club paperwork to do but Roo and Marilyn agree. Irene arrives and also gets an invite before catching up with Marilyn.

At the surf club, Ryder presents Mackenzie with his card saying he’s certified to serve alcohol. Mackenzie asks if he can do his first shift tonight and even help set up this afternoon. John comes in with Colby, who is inviting him to the party. John tells Ryder he’s giving him some more hours, starting tonight, but Ryder replies that he has a new job so he quits.

That evening at Salt, Mason and Willow chat about the new décor, while Irene chats to Marilyn and Roo about having agreed to make the wedding cake. Mackenzie gives Ryder tips on making cocktails: Like smoothies but with tequila and finesse. Roo comes to the bar and Ryder remembers promising her his first cocktail, saying she can pick anything from the first page (but not the second). Colby arrives, closely followed by Robbo and Jasmine, who are surprised. Colby says they might as well have a party with everyone instead of just the two of them. He calls out, prompting Lance to appear as well.

Later, Jasmine thanks Colby for organising it. He says he invited Tori but she couldn’t leave the house. Robbo introduces Jasmine to Lance and the pair indulge in banter at his expense. At the bar, Ryder takes a long time pouring Mason’s drink and forgets what Marilyn has ordered. Willow checks Colby is okay with the wedding stuff (with Mackenzie listening in while cleaning a nearby table). Colby admits he was hoping organising this would help him look to the future.

Colby goes downstairs, where John is complaining to Alf about Ryder’s lack of loyalty. Alf says John got what he paid for and John protests he should be at the party. Mackenzie comes down and John quickly corners her to complain about her poaching his staff and give a lecture on surf club etiquette. Later, Colby is on his own at the flat when Mackenzie arrives, saying she saw him leave early. Colby notes he thought they weren’t doing this and wonders about tomorrow. They kiss, before he remembers people will be coming back there after the party. Mackenzie suggests they go to hers.

Ryder forgets to put vodka in Willow’s cocktail but Mason reassures him. Nearby, Lance and Robbo reminisce about a target that chopped up guns and got done in by his wife. Jasmine leaves them to go to the bar where Marilyn comments on how far Robbo’s come and how he’s got his old friend there and they’re meeting his parents.

Later, Lance remarks to Robbo on how he seems to have done well since leaving the feds, with a business, a baby on the way and getting married. Irene finds a teary Jasmine on the balcony. She admits seeing Robbo with Lance and his parents has reminded her that she doesn’t have anyone like that there: She has no family to share the day with.
