Extended Summary

Jasmine and Willow are towelling themselves down on the beach. Jasmine points out Justin approaching but he only gives a curt response to their greeting as he runs past. Willow sees this as evidence she was right to break up with him, saying things are less complicated with Dean and she and Justin were never suited. Alf comes up and asks Willow if she can transfer her rent money into his account. Willow says she’ll do it in the afternoon when she gets paid. Meanwhile, Tori is lying on the sofa looking glum. Justin comes in and says he’s got an invite to Ava’s birthday party, which he thinks means Nina is calming down. Then he notices Tori’s mood.

Raffy and Ty have a whispered conversation about being under surveillance as Marilyn watches them. John comes through and tells them there’s no secrets in the house, then immediately starts whispering to Marilyn about needing to go and check on Ryder while Marilyn’s at work. Raffy repeats his comment about secrets and John says Ty has to come with him to the surf club and then to Yabbie Creek. Raffy protests that they need to do an assignment. John and Marilyn say they can do it tonight and remind Raffy they made a promise to Justin. John and Ty head to the surf club where Ryder is working on new recipe for smoothies. Ty asks to stay and help him instead of leaving with John and John agrees. Willow comes up and chats to John about a delivery. John tells her to pay for it when it comes in.

Tori talks to Justin about her argument with Ash. She says she’s trying to move on. Justin points out that they both hurt each other and they’re just trying to whitewash it. He thinks they need to talk. Tori goes to see Ash at the caravan park. He understand that he was obsessed about Robbo but points out Tori was the one that helped him. They wonder if it might be time to accept things and move on.

Ryder gets Ty to try out a juice he’s made that includes broccoli. He asks his advice on getting back with Coco. Ty admits he’s never had a girlfriend before, which Ryder is surprised by. Willow comes over to get the money for the delivery; she seems to be considering taking some extra but doesn’t. Ty initially claims the juice is rank but then admits it’s good. Ryder dubs it the RyTy and takes a selfie of them together. Later, Ty gets Ryder to try another one which Ryder admits is a fail. Raffy comes in and says she’s been texting Ty, since John and Marilyn are out and they have the place to themselves. Ty says John just called to say he’s on his way back. Raffy leaves, annoyed, and Ryder points out to Ty it’s no wonder he hasn’t had a girlfriend: He basically just told Raffy that he didn’t spend time with her because he was having too much fun with Ryder.

Justin and Raffy chat on the beach, with Raffy complaining about not being left alone with Ty. Justin asks her for help getting a present for Ava, wondering what girls like. Raffy says alone time with cute boys and Justin retorts Ava’s not getting a boyfriend until she’s 45. He checks that Ava isn’t into dolls and Raffy says she’ll give it some thought. As she leaves, Ash approaches. Justin chats to him and tries to get him to talk to Tori. At the Diner, Tori is talking to Marilyn. She thinks it’s over with Ash. Marilyn says she and John had troubles after the fires but stuck together. Tori thinks that’s because she and John had history whereas she and Ash never had a solid foundation. Marilyn says they love each other and that’s a good foundation.

Tori hears Justin’s side of a phone call with Nina, where he starts off saying he’s RSVPing to the party and ends up protesting that Ava wants him there. He explains to Tori that Nina didn’t know about the invite and has uninvited him. Tori asks if Nina knows he’s broken up with Willow. Justin doesn’t understand what that has to do with anything and Tori tells him that’s why Willow broke up with him. Down on the beach, Willow has just finished a class. Jasmine, who was one of the attendees, helps her pack up. Justin turns up and asks to speak to Willow alone. He says he knows what Nina said to her and thinks he could have talked her round. Willow thinks it would have come down to a choice between her and Ava. Justin thinks they were good together but Willow says she’s with Dean and happy and they should move on.

Tori goes to see Ash at the caravan park and tells him she doesn’t want to end things. They kiss and go into his caravan. At the Palmer house, John is keeping an eye on Raffy and Ty as they do their homework and tells them he’s going to the bathroom. Ty apologises to Raffy for not answering their texts. Marilyn comes home and worries that John isn’t with them. Raffy assures her he’s only been gone 23 seconds. Ty goes to get a drink from the fridge and gets a text from Ryder asking him to send the photo of the two of them; Ty smiles when he sees it.

Alf approaches Willow at the Diner, saying he still hasn’t got the rent money. Willow says she forgot and will get him the cash. Jasmine comes in and asks Willow how it went with Justin but leaves when Willow is short with her. Willow places a $200 bet. Meanwhile, Ash and Tori arrive back at the Morgan house, admitting to Justin they still haven’t talked (although it’s clear they’ve been doing something else). Justin has his bags packed and says he’s going to see Nina. Ash thinks he should get a lawyer instead. Justin doesn’t want a court battle but Tori says they can help him negotiate access. Justin accepts it won’t help Ava to go in guns blazing.

Willow arrives at the surf club: She checks her phone and learns her horse came 5th. Ryder boasts that thanks to his salesmanship, they’ve made the most money ever. Willow tells him to take the rubbish bags out, then takes some money from the till. Jasmine sees her and asks what’s going on.
