Extended Summary

Robbo storms up to Ash and demands to know what he’s been saying to Kat, accusing him of putting ideas in her head. As they argue, Kat comes over, wanting to know what’s going on. Robbo says there’s no problem and Kat leads him back to the flat, where she asks him what Ash did. Robbo says he knows they’ve been having secret meetings. Kat says it was about the baby and that Ash wasn’t happy about them going away. Robbo thinks she doesn’t have to answer to Ash but Kat says it’s important to keep Ash happy.

Justin has just finished a surf and runs into Willow, who is on her way to a swim. They manage to ascertain that she isn’t due in work until five and innocently wonder what they’re both doing later. As they part company, Justin realises Tori has been watching. He heads to Salt with her, continuing to insist that he and Willow are just casual. Tori doesn’t think Justin does casual and Justin isn’t keen on discussing it with her. Ash appears and offers to have lunch with them both. Justin then gets a series of photos from Willow on his phone, depicting the outside of his house, then the hallway, then his bedroom… He quickly makes his excuses and hurries home, where Willow is waiting for him in his bed. He comments on her breaking in again and she says she just wanted somewhere nicer than a caravan to hook up. They kiss.

At the farm house, Maggie is aghast that Coco got arrested. Coco says she only spent an hour at the police station and it was just a caution. Maggie wonders how she managed to get herself tied to a tree in the first place. Coco calmly exits after saying she’ll go and catch up with her friends while Maggie processes it. Ben labels the exit kind of awesome. Later, Maggie gets cut off in a phone call with Diana, after trying to assure her she’s not blaming her. She comments to Ben that Diana didn’t think it was unusual and Ben, amused, points out Maggie’s the only member of the family who hasn’t been arrested. He thinks it was just a one-off but Maggie worries it is a sign Coco is changing.

Robbo still isn’t happy about Kat and Ash meeting and says that he should be part of the discussions if he’s going to be part of raising the baby. Kat coyly says that he’ll be involved in all discussion about the baby. She convinces him to go for a shower while she makes lunch, then reaches for her phone and texts Ash, who is still at Salt with Tori. Tori queries it but Ash reminds her she didn’t want to be involved and doesn’t think her wanting to be kept informed is much of a distinction. When he refuses to talk, Tori walks out. Ash follows her outside but still can’t tell her anything and gets two more texts from Kat while they talk. Tori walks off again and Ash sees Kat wants to meet.

Justin is making a snack and Willow emerges from the bedroom wearing one of his shirts. She greets Buddy and comments on how he hasn’t had a bath since she had him. Tori comes home and is unimpressed with what she sees. Willow says she’ll take Buddy for a walk and heads back into the bedroom with him. Tori chastises Justin before leaving. Willow emerges, having got dressed, and also makes a sharp exit. Meanwhile, Ben and Maggie have summoned Coco to the Diner. They say they’re worried. Coco says she was bored at Diana’s so went into town and met people. Ben starts telling a story about how he joined a punk band but did crazy things to fit in. Coco says she didn’t do it to impress new friends: She’s spent so long worrying about what people think of her, it was good to worry about something bigger.

Kat is walking outside but is having trouble shaking off Robbo, who wants to go with her. Kat gets a text from Ash but pretends it’s from McCarthy, saying he wants her to go to the station and she might be able to get her suspension lifted. Robbo wants to go with her but Kat says that wouldn’t be a good look and drives off without him. At the beach house, Ash is looking over the contents of the bag in his room. Kat turns up and tells him Robbo is suspicious. She doesn’t think he’d hurt her but agrees they need to figure things out.

Tori is doing yoga up on the headland when Willow approaches with Buddy and Tori makes a caustic remark about him coming to see his real owner. She says she’s having a rocky day but Willow thinks Tori’s always had a problem with her. Tori thinks she’s using Justin and Willow angrily tells her to stop judging her. Justin appears and Tori leaves. Justin and Willow go back to the house. Justin tries to convince Willow it’s not about her but Willow isn’t happy being caught in the middle of a family drama and tells him to sort it out.

At the Diner, Maggie is starting to agree with Ben that Coco’s behaviour is nothing to worry about although she does comment on the possibility of her getting chopped in half with an axe. Alf and Irene overhear and they explain she’s become an eco-warrior. They both think it’s fine, until Coco comes in demanding Alf explain to her about overfishing in the Bay. At Salt, Justin approaches Tori, continuing to insist his relationship with Willow is fine. Tori admits she’s mostly worried about Ash’s involvement with Kat. Robbo listens in from nearby as Tori says he’s probably with her now.

Ash and Kat are looking over Robbo’s things in his room. Kat says she’s seen all of it before except the cash and gun but thought Robbo had thrown it out. She recalls it was just before they found the safe house and adds no-one would have noticed if Robbo had had it when he turned up because they were focused on Novak. Ash thinks they should check it out. Meanwhile, Justin and Tori stumble upon Willow organising a gym session on the headland and Tori decides to give her a wide berth. Justin tells Willow that Tori’s bad mood wasn’t about her but Willow notes Tori wouldn’t say so herself. She is slightly dismissive of Justin, saying she has to get on with the boot camp.

Kat tells Ash she needs to get back to Robbo. Ash doesn’t want her to go, despite her not wanting to make him suspicious, and tries to get her to leave Robbo and stay with them. As they argue, Irene is settling down in the living room and answers the door to Tori, who is looking for Ash. Irene says she’s just got in but he’s probably in his room. At that moment, Kat comes out of Ash’s room and awkwardly greets them before leaving. Tori wonders what she was doing in there.
