Extended Summary

A confused and growing increasingly angry Claire waits at Irene’s for someone to enlighten her as to why Wally has been making trips to the Bay. Not wanting to make things worse, Hunter, Olivia and Leah insist that it’s best if Wally be the one to tell her. When Wally arrives and is confronted by Claire, instead of coming out with the truth he at first tries to cover saying that Hunter is the son of an old friend. Claire does not believe him and accuses him of having an affair with Leah, who tries to make Wally see sense by saying the situation calls for honesty. When Wally again lies to Claire, seeing how hurt Hunter is Leah blurts out the truth. The next day Hunter hasn’t heard anything from Wally and worries that Wally will not talk to him again, lashing out at Leah and blaming her for what happened last night. Olivia seeing this puts things in perspective for him and reinforces that it was Wally’s fault not Leah’s and tells him where to redirect his anger. Hunter apologises to Leah and tells her he was angry because he doesn’t understand why Wally lied about him which Leah tells him that it isn’t his fault. Hunter recognises that there isn’t a connection between himself and Wally and doesn’t know if he wants to pursue a relationship anymore, worried that Wally doesn’t like him, and maybe that’s why he didn’t tell his wife. As Olivia tries to calm his fears Wally appears ready to talk. He tells Hunter that he made a mistake and that he didn’t tell his wife because she always wanted children and that finding out that Wally had a child that wasn’t hers would have been a bitter pill to swallow. In order to save his marriage, Wally says that he’ll need to stay at home for a bit and that once things with his wife are better they will catch up then. Hunter finally finding the connection that he wanted with Wally realises that he is okay with this.

Kat and Robbo are working together, searching the police database to try to trigger his memory. They are interrupted by Ash, who gets into a fight with Kat about his motives for going after Zannis. Tyring to appease Kat, Ash agrees to no longer see Tori. Robbo approaches Kat at the caravan park to thank her for her hard work and assure her that his annoyance is at how slow the process is and not at her. While they are talking they are interrupted by Ash where another fight breaks out between Ash and Kat with him refusing to leave. Robbo jumps to her defence and a physical fight between the two boys breaks out that Kat has to stop with Scarlett overseeing the whole thing. As Ash leaves he runs into Scarlett and tells her that Robbo seems dodgy which Scarlet agrees with. As the investigation has stalled Kat thinks that they need to go back to shore where Robbo washed up to go over their steps and see if they missed something. Needing a boat Scarlett agrees to lend hers as long as she can come too. At the cove at his old shelter, Kat and Scarlett speculate on Robbo’s past, that he can survive in the wild and that he may have been on the run from someone, thinking that he may have hid anything of value. They split up to cover more ground while they search. Kat finds something and looks worried. Becoming scared and eager to leave Kat insists that Robbo be the one to bring the boat closer, while he is away she shows Scarlett what she found which is a photo of her in her police uniform. When Scarlett asks why he would have a photo of Kat, her fear and panic is clear and tells Scarlett they need to get out of there!

Things are becoming increasingly strained between Ash and Tori with the later noticing the tension and worrying that her friendship with Ash is coming to an end. At the diner Tori tells Leah of her frustration with the situation not understanding what they problem is. However Leah can’t help but point out that Ash has been doing a lot for her lately and it may because he has feelings for her which Tori rebuffs. After his fight with Kat and not wanting to end his relationship, Ash finally confronts Tori and tells her that their friendship is getting to Kat and he can no longer be friends as he loves Kat. Later too embarrassed to walk into the diner when she sees Ash, Tori hides outside while Leah brings her a coffee. Clearly upset Leah tells her to look at the positives and use this as an opportunity for a fresh start.
