Extended Summary

Riley and Tori go for a run near the beach and kiss. Riley senses there’s something on Tori’s mind and she says she’s worrying about telling her family that she’s moving to the city, although she’s not giving a definite yes. Riley suggests she tell them it’s her dream. They kiss again and this time they’re seen by Justin. Riley leaves and Tori realises Justin is looking at her. They head home, arguing; Justin asks Mason and Raffy if they knew and Mason quips that it’s what happens when he’s holed up with Phoebe for a week. Justin asks if it’s an actual thing and Tori says she’s thinking of moving to the city with him. This shocks Mason and Raffy, with the latter protesting that she can’t and running to her room upset. Justin sarcastically compliments Tori on putting her family first.

At the Diner, Mason tells Olivia he wants to be happy for Tori but would miss her. Olivia says one of them has to be the first to leave. Mason notes that Olivia’s going to be on O Week soon and suggests they go on a road trip first. Olivia doesn’t seem keen, saying she has reading to do for uni, and her attention is drawn by Hunter when he comes in before saying it’s not a good time. At the Stewart house, Alf is looking after Luc as Irene arrives with a meal. Alf says it’s the bottle keeping Luc quiet, not him, and offers Irene a cuddle but she says she needs to go and check on Marilyn. Alf says to give his love to her and John.

Justin comes into Salt and finds Riley and Tori there, immediately laying into them. After a few exchanges of snark, Tori gets Riley to leave. She asks Justin to trust her and insists Riley’s grown up but Justin says she might be a smart woman but she can still be played. Tori leaves and an embarrassed server brings two coffees over. Meanwhile, Alf brings Luc to the Diner where Nate and Olivia comment on how quiet and well-behaved she is. Irene quickly disappears into the kitchen and Alf follows, telling the others to keep an eye on Luc (Olivia quickly leaves it to Nate). Alf asks Irene if they need to talk, saying Luc needs people to love her. Irene says she’s not sure if she should or if she has the right to call herself grandma after what Mick’s done. Alf says Luc will need her when she’s ready.

Nate comes back from kayaking and notices Raffy on the beach, saying she’s been there some time. Raffy says it’s his fault for not making things work with Tori, who’s now moving to the city with Riley. She adds that Tori hasn’t decided but wants to go and everyone leaves her. Not too far away, Hunter is working outside the bait shop. He tries to walk away when Olivia approaches but she suggests that Billie’s death means they shouldn’t waste time. Hunter asks how she would feel if he was the one with someone else and Olivia claims she’d be fine. Hunter says she’s the bigger person and briefly softens but then says she needs to either stay away from him or work out why she can’t. Mason approaches as he leaves and gives Olivia some stationery he’s bought her for uni. He suggests if she was talking to Hunter she’s got time to go on a day trip but Olivia snaps that she just took a break. Mason says he’ll talk to her when she’s in a better mood.

Olivia comes to the house to thank Mason for the stationery. Mason says he went into a girlie shop to buy it, then notes they started arguing as soon as they talked about Hunter. He asks if he should be worried, saying he’s falling for her and needs to know if he should. At the Diner, Olivia fills in Irene, who isn’t surprised and thinks Olivia should be honest with Mason, even though Olivia claims not to know what the truth is. Alf is having difficulty with Luc so Irene takes her off him and is soon cooing over her as she settles.

Tori joins Raffy on the beach, saying that Nate (who is standing nearby) told her how she was feeling. Tori says it’s not definite and even if she does go, Raffy will still see her. Raffy says it was just her and Hope for so long and now she’s got three brothers and another sister. Tori says Raffy could come visit her in the city and Raffy starts to warm to the idea. She gets a text from Ellie and hurries off. Nate comes over and asks Tori about her leaving. He tells her to do what’s right for her and they hug. Riley sees them and doesn’t look pleased. In the Diner, Irene continues to coo over Luc until Alf says he has to take her home for her nap. Tori joins Riley and says that, while she’s not saying no completely, now’s not the right time. Riley says they’ll stay.

Mason meets Olivia on the beach and is somewhat apprehensive. Olivia says he was right, there is still something between her and Hunter, but she still wants to see Mason. Mason says it would never work. Olivia says sorry and Mason says it’s a good job she told him now and it was fun while it lasted. He looks and sounds disappointed as he walks away. Meanwhile, Tori comes home and finds Justin has mowed the lawn. He says he wanted to say sorry for being a jerk and is happy that she’s moving on. Tori notes he’d rather it wasn’t with Riley. Mason comes home and goes to his room in a mood; they conclude they’ll ask later. Tori tells Justin she’s staying but still seeing Riley. Justin says he’ll try and give him a chance and suggests they invite him over for a barbie.

At the Diner, Irene and Nate chat about Luc and the fact Tori might be leaving. Nate gets a phone call from work and tells Irene he has to go in for a meeting. Meanwhile, Mason is deleting photos of himself and Olivia from his phone. Justin comes home and produces beer and tissues. He guesses Mason broke up with Olivia and Mason says she’s still in love with her ex. Justin says Mason just hasn’t met the right girl.

Nate arrives at the hospital and asks Riley if he knows anything about the meeting. Riley says he doesn’t. Bernice joins them and tells Nate there’s evidence he’s guilty of medical negligence over Billie’s death.
