Extended Summary
A horrified Evelyn tries to process Josh’s confession to her that he killed Charlotte. Ash and Kat argue over Josh, Kat goes to arrest him. Ash and Andy race to find Josh before Kat does, and Ash nearly has an accident while texting Andy when driving. He almost gets into a fist fight with the other driver, whose companions calm things down and they get back into their car, heading towards the bay. Who are these three strangers?
Meanwhile, Andy has found Josh and is heartbroken to hear that his brother accidentally killed Charlotte while trying to protect him; to stop her threat of reporting Andy for intentionally killing Jake Pirovic.
Tori and Alf are talking when Ash arrives, soon followed by the guys from the car he nearly ran off the road. As things start to kick off again Tori announces that the three men are her brothers. The Morgans arrive at their new home, and amongst some warm family banter, they remark on how many houses they’ve lived in. Tori has a go at her eldest brother, Justin, for getting in Ash’s face. That night, Tori and Justin talk about their parents, then Justin apologises for his earlier behaviour. As they talk about settling in, they wonder whether they’ll get to stay this time. We’re left wondering what their secret is.
Ricky walks along the beach with Casey, trying to decide whether to leave the bay with Brax. She goes and talks to Phoebe, who’s stunned to hear that not only have Ricky and Nate broken up, but that Nate called Brax, who wants Ricky and Casey to leave with him. Phoebe points out the obvious – Ricky loves Brax, she’s going to go. The women embrace, tearful. There’s a goodbye with Ash, the three of them talk about how much they’ve been through together – they’re family. Later, Ricky thanks Nate, and tells him that she’s leaving. Nate accepts this, and offers to look after Casey while she packs. He says a sad goodbye to Casey, the child he expected to bring up as his own. Back at the house Nate and Ricky share a bittersweet goodbye. Ricky and Brax load up the car and after taking a moment outside the house, which holds so many memories for them both, they get into the car with Casey. Brax stops, tells Ricky he loves her. She loves him too. They kiss, then drive away, into their future. Nate is left alone, heartbroken. At Angelo’s, Phoebe and Ash talk about how everyone is going to react to hearing that Brax is alive. They make a pact not to tell anyone that they knew. Ash’s relationship with Kat wouldn’t survive that secret, and everyone has suffered enough.
Kat continues to look for Josh, coming to the garage. Andy says he doesn’t know where Josh is. Andy tries to persuade Kat to stay quiet but she’s determined to do the right thing now. She drives off and Josh climbs out of the car that he was hiding in. It was too close, and Andy says they need to get Josh out of there, but Josh can’t see any real solution, and wants to speak to Evelyn. He tells her the cops are looking for him. That he thought no-one else would get arrested. He doesn’t want to lose Evelyn, she’s his soulmate. But that he has to turn himself in. Evelyn doesn’t want him to, but he insists that he has to do what’s right. Evelyn tells him she’s going with him then. When they arrive at the police station though, they find that Andy has confessed to Charlotte King’s murder…
