Extended Summary

Leah spots VJ and Billie frolicking around on the beach. Talking with Zac – she believes VJ and Billie aren’t ready for this baby they’re having. Zac suggests they talk to both of them tonight to see if they’ve made any plans for what’s ahead.

Olivia and Hunter are talking about Olivia’s counselling session this morning. She’s really happy with how it’s going and she’s even making a few friends in the group. Hunter is proud of her for putting herself out there. The touching moment turns into a passionate one as they kiss, then Hunter pulls back. Olivia says she’s “ready” again but Hunter isn’t convinced. He says he’ll wait as long as it takes.

Skye & Tank are walking along talking about Skye’s tense situation at home with John, when suddenly Tank pulls up – his father’s car tyres have been let down by someone! Tank works at jacking the car up then Greg arrives to the shock as well. He’s fed up with this town making his son a pariah.

When VJ and Billie arrive for dinner, Leah launches into a series of questions. Where are you going to live? How will you pay for everything the baby needs? Will Billie be at a stay-at-home mum? All this renders the pair stunned at how much they haven’t thought of. After dinner, Leah & Billie leave the boys to clean up and have a chat on the patio. Leah reassures Billie that she’s welcome here and that they are going to support her & VJ through all of this. Leah has been where Billie is, she was younger than her when she had VJ and she didn’t have anyone around to help. Then Vinny died. Billie is sorry to hear this and opens up about her own lonely childhood – her mum died when she was eleven – her older brothers did their best to try and raise her but… She made a promise to herself that she would never raise a child the same way she was brought up. Leah can see what Billie’s missed out on and assures her that she’s going to do a great job as a parent.

Olivia meets up with Chris and thanks him for all of his help this week. It means a lot, especially with Irene gone at the moment. She asks if he’s considered therapy as well. He says he’s okay, but thanks for checking.

Skye has arrived home to John waiting for her. He asks where she’s been and who with and it soon turns into an argument. Skye feels like John’s trying to control her but John is just worried she’s jumping in too fast with Tank. Skye is angry and blurts out that she’s sleeping with Tank! Meanwhile, Greg and Tank are collecting dinner and Greg surprises Tank by suggesting they should leave the Bay. Greg has already had a job offer as an executive at the Department of Education. Tank appreciates his support but doesn’t want Greg to sacrifice a job he loves because of what’s happened. Greg thinks this is the only way they can really move forward. He then adds genuinely that Tank is the most important thing in his life, not his career. Tank is grateful for the support.

The next morning, Leah, Zac & VJ are making pancakes for breakfast as Billie watches on longingly at the close family dynamic. On a roll of parental advice, Leah begins talking about Billie moving in as if it’s already been agreed up. VJ, Billie and Zac pull up in shock. Leah stands by her statement; the options on the table for her. Zac pulls Leah outside – what was she thinking? Once they talk, Leah realises her rush to make Billie feel supported has put them all in an awkward spot. She returns to the kitchen with Zac and explains it may have been a bit hasty to invite Billie to move in right now. VJ is relieved but Billie hides her disappointment – this is something she wanted.

Skye is relaying her dramas with John to Tank, but he’s too distracted thinking about his dad’s offer. He relays the news to Skye about moving, and she’s immediately unsettled at the thought of losing Tank. He is reluctant to leave her as well but really wants to make a go of his relationship with his dad. Skye makes a snap decision and says she wants to leave with Tank & his dad. When Tank heads to the diner to ask his dad about Skye coming, Greg’s alarms immediately go off. “You hardly even know each other.” Greg isn’t about to take a teenager away from her home. Tank can’t believe Greg won’t even consider it. He leaves in a huff and Greg is back to square one with his son.
Skye searches out and debriefs to Olivia about Tank leaving the Bay. Olivia is sympathetic, knowing how close Skye has become to him. Skye considers telling Olivia her plans to leave but then decides against it. Skye says a hurried goodbye to a bemused Olivia; who doesn’t realise that was a final farewell. When Tank catches up with Skye later he’s still fuming over Greg not letting Skye come with them. Skye tries to calm him but can see how much his father not valuing his opinion has hurt Tank. Skye continues her impulse streak and suggests the two of them just run away together. Tank is hesitant but Skye soon turns him around. They agree to leave today. John arrives home a little later and calls out for Skye. No answer. Then John spies a note on the table… Skye has left to be with Tank.

Olivia meets up with Hunter at his caravan and shares what Skye has told her about Tank leaving. Olivia admits it’s got her thinking about Hunter, and what it’d be like if she ever lost him. Olivia wants to be close to him again – she’s ready to have sex. Hunter is stunned, assuring that she would never lose him over wanting to wait. Olivia insists that’s not what she meant. Just that she’s missed him and their intimacy. Olivia kisses Hunter and soon, with a little encouragement, things turn hot & heavy…
