Extended Summary
Andy has just walked into Hannah’s bedroom… but it’s just her on the bed, saying she’s just woken up. Andy immediately brings up the fact that she didn’t tell him about her history with Sean. Doesn’t she think he should’ve known? She apologises and asks if they can just go eat? Andy’s still annoyed but heads out to the kitchen. Hannah follows him out, closing the door, and Sean is hiding behind it. After dinner, Andy tries to lighten the mood and lead Hannah to the bedroom but she makes excuses, clearly feeling guilty over what happened earlier.
The teens are hanging out at the diner as Matt comments on Oscar & Maddy’s lack of affection. They only just got back together but already seem out of the honeymoon stage, compared to how all over each other Josh & Evie are. Maddy brushes it off, saying they’re just comfortable, but Oscar seems wounded by it.
The next morning, Hannah wakes up still on the couch, and the gravity of what happened hits her. She goes to get changed and sees Andy sleeping, reminding her of what she might lose. When Sean texts her to meet him at the diner Hannah decides to straighten this out. She tells Sean to stop the texts, the flirting, it’s over. She’s upset she let this happen in her own house. He reminds her she wanted it too but Hannah gets angry. Sean is surprised at her quick dismissal of their night together. Hannah refuses to think more of it, adamant she wants to be with Andy. This was a mistake. She heads home, only to find that Andy’s left her some flowers and a note saying I love you. Denny arrives home just as Hannah can’t hold in her guilt anymore – she cries in Denny’s arms. Hannah then explains the situation to Denny and Denny asks how she really feels about Sean. Hannah admits that when she was with Sean, life was like a big adventure, and he makes her feel like she could have that again. Hannah loves Andy and doesn’t want to hurt him, but Denny can see there’s something more to this. Hannah needs to decide what she wants – quick.
Josh, Evie & Oscar meet up with Matt and Maddy to spend the day together. Oscar makes a point of pashing Maddy awkwardly when he sees her and they all have a giggle, including Maddy. She thinks his efforts are sweet but the others tease him for being an eager beaver. Alf walks towards them, finishing up a phone call with Roo. Maddy asks after her and Alf tells her Roo’s on him about picking up Leah & Zac’s engagement present. Matt’s taken aback and a little hurt. Once Alf continues on his way, Matt admits he didn’t know about the engagement. The others are surprised no one told him as Matt hides his disappointment from being excluded. Back at Josh’s, they’re playing cards and Oscar is trying to put moves on Maddy again. She gently reels him back, pointing out there’s other people in the room. Oscar, rejected, tries to remain cool and decides to start drinking a beer. A few drinks later, Maddy pulls Evie aside and asks what’s up with Oscar? Evie has no idea, thinking Maddy would know as his girlfriend. Both the girls are bemused over his cocky larrikin act.
Sean comes to the farm house again to make his plea to Hannah and tells her he still loves her. He wants to be with her, for good. She tells him to leave, saying they’ve lost their chance, but his admission has definitely had an effect on her. Meanwhile, Denny runs into Andy on the beach. Andy asks her if he knows what’s up with Hannah, they’re kind of in a weird place at the moment. Careful not to reveal anything, Denny dismisses his worries but suggests maybe Hannah’s just after a bit more excitement. She encourages him to think outside the box, and Andy gets an idea… He heads to the gym and sets up a romantic dinner setting surrounded by candles. He send a text to Hannah to meet him at 7pm and waits expectantly.
Hannah seems to have made a decision and she meets with Sean. She admits that it’s unfair for her to stay with Andy when she’s still in love with Sean. She makes no guarantees to Sean but it’s pretty clear she intents to ends things with Andy. Just before she leaves, Sean call her back and says he needs to be honest about his situation first. Hannah thinks he might be changing his mind but he assures her it’s not that… it’s just… he’s married. Hannah is speechless, crushed. He tries to tell her it’s been over for a long time and he wants to be with her but Hannah has had enough. She can’t believe she was about to ruin things with Andy over him. She storms off, telling Sean to leave her alone.
Back at Josh’s place, the teens have ordered some pizza. Oscar’s on a roll, clearly drunk, sharing his approval of his sister’s relationship with Josh and embarrassing Evie. Finally, Evie’s had enough and tries to get him to leave be he refuses. Evie decides to go before she kills him, leaving the others to deal with Oscar.
Hannah is back at home telling Denny what happened with Sean. She can’t believe she could be so stupid. Denny tries to comfort her but Hannah knows she’s just as much of a cheater as he is. Denny asks what this means for her and Andy? Hannah doesn’t know how she feels. She asks Denny to keep it quiet for now. Nothing good can come of Andy finding out about her and Sean – Evie walks in. How could you do something like this?! Evie’s overheard everything.
