Extended Summary

Hannah is smiling in her sleep, dreaming about Sean, when Andy wakes her up – he’s made pancakes. Zac calls Hannah and tells her the good news about the engagement. Hannah shares it with Andy and she gets all excited about the wedding. Andy teases her over her excitement; he didn’t know she liked weddings so much. He lets slip that he thought they would just elope… not that he’d planned anything. Hannah, feeling awkward about her dream, quickly heads out to find Leah.

Phoebe is spying out from her van, checking to see if the coast is clear. She steps out and immediately Ash appears and makes a joke, asking if they’re going to talk about what happened last night. Phoebe laughs it off, saying it was nothing, he’s imagining things. Later, Phoebe walks into the surf club and sees Ash talking to Kyle. Suspicious, she jumps into the conversation but they’re only talking rosters for Angelo’s. Kyle says he has to head off but asks Phoebe to call him later. As soon as he’s gone, Phoebe asks Ash what he’s doing. He was just talking to his friend and his boss, why is Phoebe acting like a nut-job? If she insists that last night was innocent, there’s nothing to be weird about. Phoebe is clearly unsettled.

John & Marilyn are returning to their table after ordering breakfast, when Jett hides a piece of paper in his bag. John clocks it so asks Jett to go order something, so he can sneak a look. Marilyn asks what is he doing? John finds a letter and his face drops. Jett has been accepted into a boarding school on a cadet scholarship. Marilyn is worried, she thought they put all this army business behind them. John thinks it’s unlikely Jett will turn down the offer, and he’s actually quite proud of Jett. This school is very prestigious. Marilyn is reluctant but agrees it’s kind of sad that he’s been offered this great opportunity and Jett didn’t even feel he could tell them about it. Marilyn is still against Jett pursuing a career in the military though. But John asks, can they really stop him from living the life he wants?

Billie is out for a walk and sees Nate coming in from a kayak. She says hi and asks if he’s used the gloves yet but he hasn’t had time. She suggests he comes by the gym later, she’ll be working, secretly hoping to see him again soon. Hannah turns up at the Diner looking for Leah, only to find Nate instead. She joins him just as Sean swans in. What’s he doing here? He’s picked up a few more patients so he can’t leave just yet. When Sean goes up to the counter, Nate asks Hannah what’s up between the two of them, seems tense. Hannah insists it’s nothing. Billie shows up again to chat to Nate – this seems to be becoming a pattern. Hannah goes to pay for the coffees but Sean beats her to it, flirtatiously saying now she owes him one. Hannah tells him to stop. He says he’s only in town for Hannah, does she know that? Hannah tells him she’s with Andy, so there’s no reason for him to stick around. Nate sees the tense interaction and Hannah finally admits to him that Sean is her ex. Later at the gym, Nate is working out with Andy spotting him and Nate lets slip that Hannah is working with her ex. Andy is caught off guard, Nate didn’t realise she hadn’t told him.

After school, Marilyn & John find Jett and tell him they’re going to the diner, but they seem weirdly excited about it. Jett asks them what’s up and Marilyn blurts that John was snooping in Jett’s bag and found the letter. Jett tells them not to worry, he already rang the school at lunchtime and turned down the scholarship. John says maybe it’s not too late, but Jett doesn’t understand. Last time they talked about this they were totally against it. John & Marilyn both agree they will miss him but if it’s something he really wants then he should go for it. Jett makes the call to the school and the offer still stands…but he has to leave in two weeks.

Back at the caravan park, Phoebe is debriefing with Hannah, telling her that Kyle wants to get back together. Phoebe thinks they’ve been really good lately but she mentions that there’s this other guy in the mix now. Hannah asks who? Phoebe makes up a story about a guy from Yabbie Creek. Hannah tells Phoebe that she has to realise that she has a safe bet in Kyle, he loves her & she loves him. This new guy might be exciting but is she willing to risk losing Kyle forever? Little does Phoebe know that Hannah is amplifying her own feelings about Andy & Sean. Phoebe turns up at the share house, having made a decision. She walks straight up to Kyle and kisses him – she wants to get back together. They head to the caravan park to pick up Phoebe’s things so she can move back in, and Ash sees them together. He looks more than disappointed. Later at the diner, Phoebe is picking up dinner when she runs into Ash. He asks her why she’s back with Kyle when last night she was insisting she wasn’t looking for commitment? Phoebe tells him that it’s got nothing to do with him. She wants to be with Kyle and no one else. As she storms out, Billie walks in and sees Nate eating alone. She decides to join him, saying someone as charming as him should never have to eat alone. Nate accepts the company but is starting to become wary of their constant run-ins.

Meanwhile at Hannah’s place, Sean turns up on the doorstep wanting to talk. He can’t stop thinking about her. Hannah tells him this can’t happen. Sean insists they were good together, life just got in the way. Hannah tries to fight her feelings but Sean sways her. He kisses her, and she kisses him back. They sleep together. Right after their liaison, Hannah hears Andy coming home early with dinner. She tells Sean to get dressed quick! Will they be discovered?
