Extended Summary

How could you?! Evelyn is going off at Hannah for cheating on Andy. He’s been waiting on her hand and foot for months and this is how Hannah treats him. Denny tries to calm the situation but Evie is livid. Hannah tries to get her point across, saying she never meant for this to happen. Hannah gets a text – It’s from Andy who’s still waiting for her at the gym. Before Hannah goes, she tells Evie to let her handle this. At the gym, Hannah walks into Andy’s beautifully set up table with fairy lights and champagne. She’s flawed at his effort as the guilt eats away at her, but she says nothing. Andy apologises to Hannah for going off about Sean yesterday. She tells him he was right, she should have told him about Sean and their past. Andy is being amazing, which only feeds Hannah’s guilt more. When Andy ends the meal by telling Hannah he loves her, Hannah starts to cry. Andy asks what’s wrong? But Hannah can’t do it, she just grabs his hand and says she just loves him so much.

Oscar’s still going wild at Josh’s but no one else is in the mood. Maddy’s clearly had enough of him but Oscar doesn’t seem to notice. Josh gives up on trying to stop him acting like a fool until Ricky walks in. Oscar immediately pipes down and Josh tells Ricky he’ll fix it. Matt & Maddy quickly exit together as Josh looks to a now sullen Oscar. Back at the farm house, Denny and Evie are discussing Hannah and Andy when they hear a drunken Oscar yelling outside. Josh has brought him home. Denny is surprised, it’s unlike Oscar to be drinking. Josh is equally flummoxed, just saying that he seemed pretty determined to get wasted. Josh notices Evie distracted and asks if she’s ok but she just shrugs, obviously thinking about what Hannah has done to Andy.

When Josh arrives back home, Ricky’s cleaning up. He quickly apologises for the mess, and for the party. Ricky’s not fussed though, it’s one of the tamer parties that this place has seen. Josh turns the conversation to her visit with Heath & Bianca. She says they’re ok, Heath’s just keeping it together. Josh asks how she is and she responds she’s feeling ok; being away has given her some perspective. Josh then gives Ricky a package that arrived while she was gone, from the prison. Ricky takes the box into the flat but isn’t quite ready to open it.

The next morning, Oscar’s more than a little hairy. Evie & Denny give it to him and he apologises to Evie for embarrassing her last night. Oscar knows he has to go see Maddy to explain, so Denny offers him a lift into town. Evie and Hannah are alone at the table and the tension is palpable when Andy walks in. Neither meet his gaze so he asks what’s up? Hannah makes up a lie about not letting Evie go to a concert so Evie storms out, incredulous that Hannah still hasn’t told him. When Andy approaches Evie later about it, she barely manages to keep the secret. Andy heads off to work and Evie decides to talk to Hannah about it. Evie doesn’t want to lie to Andy anymore. This situation affects all of them so she can’t stay out of it. Hannah doesn’t want to risk losing Andy and tries to reason with Evie that it’s not so simple. Evie decides to make it simple – either Hannah tells Andy, or Evie will.

When Oscar sees Maddy he immediately apologises for his behaviour, he knows he acted like a tool last night. She agrees, but asks why he did it? He tries to say it was the alcohol but Maddy can see right through it. Finally, Oscar admits that he’s sick of being the responsible, boring one. He just wanted to try being the relaxed, cool, wild one for a change. And maybe he thought Maddy might like him more if he was. Maddy smiles; she gets it. She admits that yes, he is a safe, sweet, thoughtful guy, not a rebel. But that’s why she’s loves him.

Denny turns up at Ricky’s to check on her. She notices the box from the prison. Denny asks if Ricky would like company when she opens it but Ricky says she’ll get to it later. Denny tries to get her to talk, suggesting a walk, but Ricky won’t have it. Denny reminds Ricky that she was there for her when Casey died and she’s just trying to do the same. Ricky is gruff in her response, pushing Denny away. Denny heads to the caravan park to give Alf some invoices and he asks after Ricky. Denny admits she thinks Ricky is putting on an act, and isn’t really ok. Alf gives her some advice, telling Denny that just because you don’t want help doesn’t mean you don’t need it. Ricky eventually decides to open the box and it soon becomes all to much for her. She breaks down, flinging the box across the room, clearing the bench in a fit of despair. Denny rushes in just in time, sees Ricky in distress, and stops her from ripping up Brax’s photos. She wraps her arms around Ricky, trying to calm her, as she cries and cries.

Hannah turns up at the gym, solemn. Andy can tell something’s wrong. She sits down in his office, ready to come clean when he jumps in. She’s not ending this is she? Hannah can’t speak. Andy says he knows she’s been going through some stuff lately and he rushed moving in with her but he can’t lose her. He wants this to work. His eyes are pleading with her and Hannah can’t say a thing. The teens are hanging out downstairs so when Hannah comes down from the gym and heads out, looking upset, Evie runs after her. She asks Hannah how Andy took it, but Hannah admits she didn’t tell him. Evie can’t believe she’s still keeping this from him. Hannah argues with Evie that this will kill Andy if he finds out. Right now the only person this secret is hurting is Hannah, which is fine cause it’s her fault. Evie falters, still not happy with the situation, but agrees not to say anything. But before she leaves, Evie reminds Hannah that these things have a way of coming out.
