Extended Summary

Bobby reads Martha’s diary.

Footage from 1970 in Summer Bay is being shown: Martha is working in the General Store. A friend calls her. Her friend is called “B”. She tells Martha that she is pregnant.

(A lot of storytelling about Martha is shown)

In the diary it’s written when Bobby is born and when Bobby was adopted. (Emotional music plays)

Bobby feels depressed when she reads about the adoption.

Bobby can’t find out from the diary who “B” is or who her father is.

Frank and Bobby think and investigates who “B” can be.

Celia names a burger she sells in her store to “Grooveburger” to make it sound cooler.

Bobby and Frank ask Celia what she knows about Bobby’s parents. They ask her what she remembers of Martha.

Celia explains to Bobby what she knows about Martha.

(Footage is shown with Martha, Les and Celia)

Bobby gets an address in the city from Celia where Bobby’s mother is possibly living if it is the one that Celia thinks it can be that is Bobby’s mother.

Frank and Bobby head for the city.

When Bobby knocks on the door, Barbara (Fisher’s ex-wife) answers. Barbara lives there.

Bobby and Barbara talk; Frank is waiting in the car.

Bobby acts as if Barbara is her real mother. It seems it isn’t Barbara who is her mother but Bobby is convinced it must be. They both get upset.

Bobby asks, “Why did you give me away, Barbara?”
