Rob was among the first River Boys seen in Summer Bay, going surfing with a group that included Heath and Casey. He argued with Xavier when they nearly collided in the waves. Romeo and Casey later made an attempt to cool things down but the attempt was spoiled when John appeared and started yelling at Rob and the others. Some time later, John saw Rob meet Brax down the beach and give him a small package in exchange for an envelope, which he interpreted as a drug deal.
Even later, Rob was part of a conference called at Angelo’s with Brax, Heath and Pee Wee to discuss moving their drug crop. He overheard Romeo in the Diner talking about not having any bookings on the Blaxland and passed the news on. Rob encouraged Casey to skip school and go surfing with him and the other Boys. However, when Rob started hassling Indi, Casey came to her defence and Romeo had to break up the resulting fight. Heath and Rob later took Casey out surfing in school time again until Brax came along and ordered Casey to head to school.
Rob wasn’t seen again until the early months of 2012, when he started hanging around the surf club again. He was standing by the pool table with a cue while Dexter was playing and took over when Dexter accidentally potted the white instead of the black. He also messed around with Casey on the night the result of the council election between Alf and Harvey was announced, defacing one of Alf’s election posters.
When Leah, Elijah and Heath tried to stop Brax taking part in a cage fight after suffering a head injury, he took Rob along as his corner man instead. Brax collapsed after the fight, so Heath took Rob and some other River Boys to confront Trent “Sully” Sullivan, who had caused Brax’s original injury. However, when April and Bianca wandered into the confrontation Sully grabbed Bianca as a hostage and threatened to throw her off a cliff if they didn’t let him go. To Rob’s astonishment, Heath got a car ready for Sully and promised they wouldn’t follow him. Rob has not been seen since either.
