Extended Summary
Colby takes Jasmine into the flat. Jasmine is angry and upset, accusing Colby of lying when he said he’d find Robbo. Bella emerges from her room and Colby has to tell her about Robbo being missing. He gives her some money to go and get breakfast; Bella offers to get Jasmine a coffee or a muffin but Jasmine declines, so Bella goes back into her room to change. Jasmine apologises for losing it and Colby says they’ll work together. Downstairs, Mackenzie is examining the doughnuts with Irene and Willow and notes Colby likes chocolate: She is planning a picnic for them. Bella comes in and tells them about Jasmine being at the flat and Robbo being missing, but doesn’t know any more. Willow and Mackenzie go to check on them.
Dave is on guard at the bottom of the steps, shocking Mackenzie although Willow takes it in her stride. Dave refuses to let them through so Willow calls out to Colby, who tells Dave to let them up. They join him and Jasmine in the flat. Colby goes to call Lance, saying he’ll get an update, while Mackenzie is shocked that it still isn’t over. Willow comforts an anxious Jasmine. Mackenzie offers to make some tea but seems to feel out of place so ends up telling Colby she’ll catch him later.
Alf and Martha are walking through a park area. Martha asks if they’re going to talk about it. Alf admits the long-distance relationship isn’t as much fun as he thought it’d be: He misses the little things, like making two cups of tea or telling her about the best catch of the day. Martha admits that every time the phone rings she hopes it’s him. Meanwhile, Colby reports neither Lance or Tori has seen Robbo. Jasmine is anxious about what’s happening to Robbo, thinking Des and the others have him. Colby isn’t sure: Robbo wouldn’t be able to find Dylan Carter if that was the case, so someone else might have him. Jasmine runs out onto the balcony and yells loudly to whoever’s out there. Colby and Willow try to calm her, waving Dave back, and Jasmine ends up collapsing.
Colby and Willow lead Jasmine back inside. Jasmine is extremely exhausted and withdrawn and they end up lying her down on the sofa. Willow says they need to do something. Colby heads downstairs and runs into Irene; she heard Jasmine’s yelling and wonders if she should go and see her. Colby doesn’t think anyone can help so asks Irene to look after Bella.
Alf and Martha are greeted by Marilyn at the Diner. Roo comes in, somewhat flustered: Two exam supervisors have called in sick. Martha wonders if she should go, since she’s in the way, but Roo says she helps keep Alf calm. Colby comes in to give Bella a brief update. Irene serves Bella waffles and mentions the hamper Mackenzie ordered. Bella offers to take it to her. She heads to Salt and is bemused that Mackenzie wanted to give Colby a picnic, thinking he would have preferred lunch there. Mackenzie is somewhat worried about the situation and Bella says that, with Colby being in the police, it’s always like that. Mackenzie asks if she worries about him. Bella says she’s used to it and Mackenzie will be too.
Colby has a phone conversation with Lance on the wharf. He doesn’t think Jasmine will agree to what he’s suggesting but understands why he’s doing it. He goes to join Willow back in the flat. Jasmine is a bit more lucid, although not sure what happened. Colby says he has something he needs to tell her and he suspects she’s not going to like it.
Back at the caravan park house, Martha tells Alf that she thinks she should go, despite what Roo said. Alf admits that he was so keen to see her again he didn’t give any thought to what else was going on. Martha says she has an alternative. When Roo arrives home, Alf and Martha are packed and explain they’re going on a road trip: Alf has marked some fishing spots and Martha has friends up north, but they’re mostly just going to go where things take them for the three weeks of the HSC. Alf notes Justin will look after Ryder’s car. Roo is pleased for them and offers to text Ryder’s exam dates so they can wish him luck.
Jasmine is aghast at the idea of being sent away and dismisses Colby’s news that Lance is sending an AFP vehicle to pick her up. Colby suggests that they can find Robbo after she’s gone. Jasmine shuts herself in her room, upset. Willow talks to her, saying Robbo wanted her to be safe and it’s also what she wanted. Jasmine takes her wedding photo and emerges. She heads downstairs where the federal police are waiting. She says her farewells to Willow and Colby, admitting she doesn’t even know where she lives anymore. Mackenzie watches from a distance, uncomfortable to see armed police there, and leaves without talking to anyone.
The vehicle takes Jasmine to the safe house; Tori is waiting for her outside and Jasmine comments on how big she is now. She worries that she’s putting her in danger coming there but Tori understands. Scott also emerges and between them they wonder about Robbo; Jasmine feels something bad has happened. At that moment, Robbo is sealed in a cage area with a chain around his ankle. He calls out, wanting to know who’s keeping him there, but doesn’t get a response.
Colby goes to Salt and apologises to Mackenzie for being unavailable recently. However, he still has to go back to work. Mackenzie tells him to be careful. At the Diner, Willow checks with Irene that she’s okay with her spending the night with Bella. The three of them, Marilyn and Roo chat about Jasmine and Tori being together. Willow asks if Irene’s heard from her lawyer and Irene says Tommy’s family have dropped the civil case. Everyone is pleased. Willow and Bella head upstairs while Irene, Marilyn and Roo contemplate putting a comment on Leah’s blog. Roo tries to bring it up on her laptop and they are all confused to find the page unavailable.
Next morning, Bella finds Mackenzie on the beach and tells her Colby spent the night at the station. Bella doesn’t think it’s a big deal and doesn’t stay awake worrying. Mackenzie reminds her Robbo’s a police officer, pointing out what’s happened to him and Jasmine. She says she doesn’t think she’s cut out for this.
