Mick breaks the conditions of his AVO. Mason attempts to alleviate his grief. Ash takes the law into his own hands.
Extended Summary
Irene is rushed to hospital as Mick clutches Luca is his arms. Mick can’t hide his joy at being with his baby and giving her the stuffed toy that Irene returned.
Tori and Ash walk along the beach, both glad that Mick will soon be off to Western Australia and out of their lives. Ash leaves to go help Alf as Mason rows past. Tori and Mason briefly discuss his odd behaviour recently. He’s not been sleeping, and is kayaking around the headland alone.
Tori arrives at the hospital to find Irene has been brought in. Tori questions where Luc is and is assured that the baby is safe with her father.
Mason, Justin and Brody discuss Mason’s university future at the Pier Diner. Mason’s already made up his mind, he’s going to quit Uni. Today, Mason’s planning on going on a trip up Stokers gap, alone. Justin is concerned and tells Brody to go with him. Before they leave, Justin and Brody convince Hunter to go as well.
Leah and Olivia arrive at the hospital to see Irene. Tori tells them both that Luc is with Ash. This calm lasts until Irene reveals that it was actually Mick who called the ambulance and is the one most likely with Luc.
Ash fixes Alf’s generator and they chat about Mick’s new job in Western Australia. Both seem glad he’s leaving. VJ and Ash get a call – Luc is with Mick and Irene is in hospital. Alf, VJ and Ash are furious and concerned. Alf calls the police on Mick.
Ash, VJ and Alf furiously search the town for Luc and Mick… Then VJ finds them both and secures Luc from Mick. Ash arrives as Mick runs off.
Hunter and Brody travel in the bush close behind Mason, trying to figure out why he is taking this hike. He tells them he’s looking for a Ghost Orchid that Beth had always wanted to see… then it clicks for Brody. Justin is trying to visit all the places Beth wanted to go to.
Back at Irene’s hospital room Tori reveals that Irene has a gallbladder infection. If things don’t settle, Irene will need a small operation.
The boys are almost at the top of the mountain. Brody and Hunter are ready to go back to town, Mason refuses. At the top of the mountain, Mason searches for the Orchid. Hunter finds it, and Mason is thrilled. That’s everything on Beth’s list.
Mick visits Irene’s hospital room to make sure she’s alright. Irene tells him that he needs to go to Western Australia right away. Mick doesn’t see that he has done anything wrong by taking Luca. Irene struggles with how to deal with her troubled child.
Ash kidnaps Mick to get rid of him once and for all.
