VJ is bitterly disappointed when he realises Billie conspired against him with Leah. Olivia is concerned when Hunter conflicts with Jordan – resulting in a punch. John tries too hard to impress Jordan. Roo questions whether contacting Duncan behind Alf’s back was a good idea.
Extended Summary
Billie’s uneasy about VJ moving in with her. When VJ snubs Leah, Billie decides to intervene. Leah and Zac are dismayed to learn that VJ is having a good time living out of home. Leah and Billie conspire to try to talk sense into VJ. However, VJ feels manipulated when they trick him into a meeting. Seeing it as an ambush. Billie earnestly tells VJ that they’re not ready to move in together yet. The support that he gets from his family is amazing, and he’s throwing it out because of an argument with his mother. VJ believes everyone still sees him as a kid.
Hunter finds his Community Service duty annoying. When Olivia passes and his partner Jordan makes a comment, asking if that’s Hunter’s girl, he tells him to get back to work. Olivia promises Hunter that if he doesn’t want to talk about his issues – she isn’t going to push him. Zac confronts Hunter about his recent attitude to schoolwork, having missed class again. Hunter’s dismissive – wanting to spend time with Olivia.
Hunter is sympathetic to VJ’s issues, and encourages VJ to start making his own decisions. Olivia tries to encourage them to be happy about what they have. VJ invites Hunter and Olivia over to hang out. Hunter suggests inviting Jordan too. This soon escalates into a party, as Jordan has got the wrong idea and invited more people along. It quickly grows out of control, and Billie is furious to discover her house full of strangers. VJ promises to solve the problem, but Billie doesn’t trust him. Behind VJ’s back, Billie phones Zac asking for help.
Marilyn and John are overly eager to please Jordan, inviting him out to the movies or to watch some DVDs, but nothing seems to be working. In an attempt to seem like an uber-cool parent, John allows Jordan to attend the party without any information. Marilyn is annoyed by John’s irresponsible parenting.
When Jordan and Olivia seem to be getting along at the party, Hunter reacts, dragging Olivia out of there. Jordan defends himself, claiming Hunter doesn’t deserve Olivia. Hunter shoves him away and Jordan fires back with a punch just as Zac arrives.
Roo is uneasy about her decision to contact Duncan behind Alf’s back. She worries Alf will discover what she’s done. Leah chats with Alf and later warns Roo that she may have stirred up a hornet’s nest.
