First photos of Tim Robards as new Neighbours bachelor

A new bachelor is hitting Ramsay Street next week, quite literally, as ex-Bachelor star Tim Robards makes his debut as wealthy investor Pierce Greyson.

Robards rose to fame as the first winner of the Australian version of The Bachelor back in 2013. Since then, he has launched his own fitness programme, and starred in two series of Nine’s Australian Ninja Warrior, before trying out for the Melbourne soap.

According to a Neighbours press release, Tim will play a wealthy investor named Pierce Greyson with a “super suave nature and good looks“.

Now, the first pictures of Pierce have been revealed, in a scene in which he discovers the business card for Chloe’s new executive dating service, ‘Cash4company’.

Pierce Greyson (Tim Robards) is a VIP guest at Lassiter’s, and the hotel is pulling out all the stops to ensure he has a pleasant stay.

However, Paul and Terese probably don’t want “executive dating” to be one of the services that the newest guest of Lassiter’s enjoys.

So how will Mr Greyson react when he stumbles upon Chloe’s business card for her executive dating service?

Neighbours have also released a new promo teasing Pierce Greyson’s arrival. The teaser, set in Lassiter’s and the Backlane Bar, show the character woo Chloe Brennon with what looks like a diamond-encrusted necklace, overlaid with the text “They say money can’t buy love. Or can it?

Tim Robards himself described new character Pierce as “a hybrid of Harvey Specter, sprinkle of Christian Grey and a little bit of Robert Redford – so it’s been great fun to explore.

Talking to Mumbrella about the reality TV star-turned-actor, Producer Jason Herbison said Tim: “As soon as we put him in the room with the other characters he’ll be playing opposite, we knew we had our Pierce Greyson.

Sam Frost, star of The Bachelorette, plays Jasmine in Home and Away

Tim won’t be the first star of the Bachelor / Bachelorette series to make a move over to soap stardom, with Sam Frost currently starring as Jasmine in Home and Away.

His move into acting came through rather unconventional means. In May, he revealed to the Daily Telegraph that a Turkish coffee reader told him he was destined for Hollywood, and that was the sign he needed to pursue his acting dream.

I listen to signs”, he told the newspaper. “It was the last little omen in a bunch of others. It tipped it over the edge.

Robards will make his debut as Pierce Greyson on Friday 5th October.
